My friend called me and her little boy got on the phone asking me if the table at my house was clean......he loves to come over and play pool and untune my guitar lmfao.

Every time he comes over and starts playing on the table you have about a good 2.5 hours of free time b/c he's just mesmerized.

Funny kid too the power went out across much of town yesterday and I kept asking him why he called and had the power turned off....i told him that if he would play the guitar really loud that the tv would kick back on.....

he looks and me rolls his eyes and says in very monotone form "yeahhhhhh ok"

then the lights kicked back on and he started playing again

sharp kid.....

Nope , young 'un LOVE pool !

The table at our local Boys & Girls club is in CONSTANT use , with young 'uns always waiting for "next"

When I was that age there was an "old guy" down the street that befriended me.. let me come over to play, walked/talked to me. I've never forgotten him and his kindness. He made me feel good. I still remember his name, his house etc, some 62 years later.

Befriend a kid.

my nieces and nephew are 8 to 15 and they come over a few times a month to visit, and they love the pool table. I set up a few trick shots and they start cheering when they make em. Actually the girls like pool more.

Cute kid. My granpa used to take me to the neighborhood bar back when they had drop pocket tables in bars and play pool with me for hours. That was one of the best times of my life. I'll never forget it.

I remember my older brother and cousin playing on a 6ft foldaway table when I was a really young kid. I kept asking for a shot and they kept telling me I was too small, so I just sat there drawing pictures of Spiderman. Years go by and I was about 15 years old when a friend suggested going for a game of pool, and I loved it right away. That little Spiderman-drawing kid would have been hooked for sure, and I just might have ended up half-decent at this game. Instead I got stupidly good at Super Mario Kart. Funny how things work out.

Rep for letting the kid play!

I was going to make this same topic!

Do kids like pool?

On turkey day, just a few days ago, my wife and I were hosting at our home. The whole family came over and we all stuffed ourselves. After dinner I went into pool room and started shooting a bit. Well, my wifes niece who's about 9 years old, starts watching. She asks if she can play. I say sure. We play for a awhile, then my daughter (age 7) ask if she wants to play with her instead of shooting pool with me.

She says no, which really surprised me. My daughter starts getting mad that she'd rather play pool with me than barbies with her. And that really surprised me. I didn't think kids, much less little girls, like adult games. Pool is littered with old men, so it really floored me when this little girl played pool with me most of the night.

My daughter plays pool, she's the reason we got a pool table in the first place. But I thought her liking pool was some random fluke, I didn't realize other children would like it also.
