http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VxkUN7fMcnU

shows why pros don't play eight ball on a big table lol

and reyes gets his grove on when droping the eight on the break :grin-square:

edit : just realized you said 9 ball match, but this one is so good, watch it anyway lol

Bustamante & Strickland, World Championship Match, 2002.

A timeless classic, considering all that was going on behind the scenes in that one.

DCP

this is easy for me

Shane VS. Alex on TAR

I think that was 9 ball maybe 10 ball? Cant remember!
The all time best match and best come from behind!!!!!!!

9-Ball;
Davenport vs Mizerak in the late 80's-early 90's...11-10

All time favorite;

Cook vs Hopkins playing One Pocket...the "100 minute rack" I think it was named. Cook took what seemed to be all 15 balls {serious :grin: embelishment} outta Allens pocket, looked like a grenade went off.

Watching this 8ball match right now. I am a newbie to pro pool world. Why dont they play on a big table?

Post your favorite match.

Efren Reyes v. Jim Rempe:
This is a Classic 9-Ball match from the PBT Legends of 9-Ball Tournament, January 1996, at the the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles, between two of the sports best players of the time, Efren Reyes and Jim Rempe.

I just whatched the hill-hill game to this set a few minutes ago.Rempe mananged to keep his game face while the crowd went wild with Efren at the table.I will watch the entire match now,ive never seen Rempe play 9B.

Wu Chia Ching vs. Kuo Po Cheng in the finals of the 2005 World Nine Ball Championship.

In the race to seventeen, Wu came to the table trailing 16-12 and ran out the set for a 17-16 win to become the youngest World Nine Ball champion ever!

Simply electrifying.

I would say it's too easy for them, no clusters means an easy run out.

8 ball on a 9 foot is a much easier game then 9 ball on a 9 foot.

9 ball on a 7 foot is a much easier game then 8 ball on a 7 foot.

Indeed this match is AWESOME!! Also, I really like the commentary. Steve Mizerak is not only a great commentator, but he is so excited about the match! He is going nuts at the end!! It totally makes me appreciate Reyes more...the Miz clearly thinks VERY highly of him.

KMRUNOUT

I've seen that Rempe vs Reyes match before so I put it on without thinking I'd listen to it since Monday Night Football is on.

Muted the goofs on ESPN, and ended up listening to that instead. Mizerak is hilarious and very gracious in his comments about Filipinos.

Great match...thx for posting the link.

SVB vs Ronnie Alcano in the semis (not the finals match even though it was good too) of the 2007 US Open both players were running out.

A modern piece of Pool-History?

...last Friday night's match-up of Klatt vs. Immonen at the 2010 U.S.Open. Maybe the best pool ever played and recorded!
Immonen shot somewhere around an Accu-Stat .985, Klatt shot a perfect .1000, better still, he lost with that perfect score!

Lots of good choices in here.

2 of my favorites are:

Medina vs. Incardona where Medina runs 8 or 9 in a row. Not the best shot selection, not good fundamentals, but a lot of shots that make you laugh and go "Holy sh*t, that was crazy!" Plus Billy still plays to the crowd and makes it fun even though he gets killed.

Piggy Banks (Glen Rodgers) vs. Gary Spaeth 9 ball banks. The way Rodgers fires in full table bank after bank is awesome, good commentating by Grady and DD, and the last game he goes 5 and out and the crowd goes wild!

Neither of these are what you would call the best of all time, but they both make me want to go out and play my ass off.
