Out of the Accu-Stats videos you've seen or purchased, which ones do you consider the best? Which ones feature the most exciting matches in your opinion?

I have tons. One of my favorites is the late Tony Ellin beating Billy Incardona. It was a player review with Billy explaining everything as he watched the tape. It was very entertaining listening to Billy explain why he missed the one ball in the side pocket...with ball in hand.

Sang Lee vs Lou Havermans at 3-cushion is my personal favorite. Sang Lee runs a 15 and a 14 in the same match and all of his wizardry is on display in this classic match.

Aside from Sigel's 150 and out, I like Rempe vs. Oliver Ortmann. Both show a lot of composure and Rempe didn't run the second century of the match by a hair.

I like 14.1 matches more than 9 ball because they offer various alternatives in pattern play. A 9 ball match for the most part, you've seen it once, you got it.

By far the best video is Billy Palmer from CA playing Efren Reyes in one pocket from the 2005 DCC. Its the most amazing play i've seen in along time and should be at the top of everyones list of matches to own.

Who was Sigel's 150 and out against? What event? Just trying to find it on the accu-stats site...

Phil Capelle's books on 9-ball and 14.1 have a listing and description of good accu-stats matches to get. You can also search for old threads on the same topic.

I've looked at the older threads on this topic...I wanted to get a current take on the latest favorites. I'll definitely have a look at those books, thanks!

The best of the latest stuff out is probably Efren playing one pocket at the DCC last year. I haven't seen the match, but Jason Miller winning the banks is probably worth getting too from last years DCC.

I'm mostly a one-pocket junkie, but there's some 9-ball and straight pool in my list.

1998 Legends of 1P: Buddy Hall vs. Efren: Buddy really keeps Efren locked up almost the whole way and plays perfect patterns.

1998 Legends of 1P: Daulton vs. Reyes. Hill-Hill, 3 hours plus, one of the best matches I've ever seen.

1999 DCC Banks: Gary Spaeth vs. Efren: Both players play phenomenal, Spaeth really shows his bank pool expertise.

2004 DCC Banks: Jason Miller vs. Piggy Banks/John Brumback. 3 matches. Miller disposes of Piggy in about 10 minutes, running 10 banks in the process, then beats Brumback twice in the finals. Brumback also plays very well, especially in the first set.

2005 DCC One Pocket: Anything Efren. Some of the most perfect one pocket you'll ever see.

1999 DCC 1P: Efren vs. Varner. Both play masterfully.

1998 US Open 9-ball: Jose Garcia vs. Tony Robles. Jose shoots .958 and breaks super-efficiently. Player review tape.

2001 Masters 9-ball: Varner vs. Putnam. Varner hangs a .977 and a shutout on Shawn, and it seems like Nick could have run out forever that day. Good safety play as well.

2000 US Open 14.1: Souquet vs. Reyes. Ralf runs 120 and out.

Sgel vs. Zuglan

This was my favorite straight pool match, Zuglan got the break and never shot again the rest of the match. It was Sigel at his best! Hopefully, Accu-Stats will be at the 14.1 Pro tournament in New Jersey at the end of the month and we'll get so see more up to date competition.

I believe Sigel had a 150 out against Mike Zuglan.

I havent watched many accu-stat matches but what i have watched my favorite would be the accu-stats 8 ball invitational in 2001 with Immonen and Reyes. I still watch it to study the pattern play.

EDIT:
That match was 1992 14.1 US Open.

Heres the video link:

Bloomdahl/Cuelemans (forgive spelling errors please) in 3-c. Bloomdahl averaged 4.0 / inning. Some amazing shots in the video.

Efren/Busta in an 8-ball match, part of the accu-stats 8-ball invitationonal.

Efren/Earl, "shot heard round the world" match.

I just watched my tape of Blomdahl destroying Sang Lee last night. The match was taped by accu-stats at Sang Lee's room in NY.

60 points in 18 innings. Ray Schuler, (cuemaker- now deceased) helps Byrne with the commentary and says its the best he's ever seen Torbjorn play.

Torbjorn has the best focus at the table of any player I've ever seen and he plays so good its ridiculous on this tape. Two strokes a masse, shots that back up the length of the table, etc...

This one should be on everyones "must buy" list if they like 3-Cushion.

favorite Accustats

I have 3 favorites:
1.(an older 1P tape)- Allen Hopkins vs. Steve Cook - an absolute marathon!!
2. Bugs Rucker vs the late Gary Speath playing banks
3. Keith McCready vs Jose Parica at the U.S. Open (not sure of the year). It was either 2003 or 2004

Accu Stats

The Keith McCready and Jose Parica match was great. The one that Keith wins that is. There is some hilarious comments Keith makes in that match and has the whole crowd behind him.

Another match that is great is the Jim Rempe/Johnny Archer match. I believe it is at the Sands Regency match. They both shoot in the 930's if I am not mistaken. There were a lot of racks run in this hill/hill matchup.

I've seen so many great accustat matches but it always seems like there is yet another gem to watch still. Over the weekend I saw Breedlove defeats Sigel 13-11 from The Sands Regency 19, June 1994. Sigel shoots .946 and loses with Breedlove shooting a .930.

14.1

All of these are available from Accu-Stats. My faves:

Sigel vs Zuglan (150 and out)
Zuglan vs Martin (Zuglan runs 148)
Oliver Ortman vs Jim Rempe (Ortmann runs 129 and Rempe comes back with 96 with a lot of bad breaks followed by amazing shots)
Soquet vs Reyes (Beautiful 120 ball run by Ralf)
Nick Varner vs Grady Matthews (Nick wins in two innings of 76 and 74)

Not available at Accu-Stats:

Clash of the Titans:

Irving Crane vs Joe Balsis (Crane runs 150, amazing run as well)
