Wow. That's great news. Where are they being played? I'd love to get into 14:1. Not that I'd like to draw either one of those guys in an early round...

How many points are the matches played to? Is there any handicapping?

8 Ball and Snooker. The two games that make you think the most. I have played 9 ball and have been quite successful at it but if I never play another game, it would be no loss.

Well, by playing 1hole, it has definitely made me aware of my play as in regards with speed in 8/9. And yeah, It doesn't allow for me letting my stroke out. Even as playing as long as I have, Im still afraid of letting my stroke out too much in fear of losing CB control. I do hope in time I can get over that hump as I think i will improve.
14.1 has allowed me to run better outs (but 3 ball has helps as well) but also has incorporated other things as well.
3C.... what can I say about a game that I don't play much of, but truly enjoy watching? It has definitely got me out of tight spots, and also enhanced my safety play.
 
I depends largely on who I am playing.
I picked one pocket, imagining the best scenario/oponent.
 
I mostly shoot 8 ball because I am in an 8 ball league. However, I like 15 ball rotation. My neighbor started me on it many years ago. The other game I like is one pocket. Believe it or not, I have only played 9 ball twice in 15 years.
 
Favorite game is actually 61 point Rotation......... its what my grandpa used to teach me cueball control. Then came 9 ball, and I was hooked. Would love to get back to playing rotation though!

Straight pool is the CHAMPIONSHIP GAME; whether modern television and pool promoters will admit to it or not. It is also the most fun to play (especially the last half hour of a close match).

While I can find much to criticize about the other games in terms of ability to test and differentiate champion players - I have never played a game of pool I didn't like (other than that single game with breakup; and of course with an opponent that disturbed and unruly, who could expect otherwise?).

I agree 14.1 should be the game,it should be shown on television,i mean it could highlight some tough shots and misses,i mean many a straight pool game was one by just one ball.I can remember plenty of tight games of straight pool where i only one or lost by a ball and it is pretty exciting.:)

I was going to list back pocket but then if i did then i would have to list last pocket also,i just listed the more prevalent games i felt,sorry.
 
I'm one of those guys who likes, and plays all the games. In fact, if I get a challenger in the poolroom, I usually ask what their favorite game is and we would play whatever he/she likes.

My favorite would have to be One-Pocket. It seems you could play that game for 50 years and still learn a new move every week.

After that, I'll take 14.1, Banks, 8 Ball, 9 Ball, 3 Cushion and Snooker.
