Sorry but am not helping in copying that machine.olsonsview said:would you be so kind as to take a series of pics of it, the more the merrier, including detail closeups, so I can maybe get some ideas before I start to make my own taper machine? I and I others would surely appreciate it!

Now, if 10 people here put an order, maybe Ed would be inclined to make the machine again.
Mart, as much as I love to see that machine again ( I've waited for it for 3 years already) am not holding my breath.jazznpool said:If anyone has serious interest in one of Prewitt's taper machines they should contact me. There's a possibility that Ed might make a batch of machines this fall if I can coordinate enough interest. A deposit would be required. I believe the taper machines are 5k plus shipping unless they went up in price since I last talked to Ed about them. Ariel Carmeli uses the same machine and it works beautifully and reliably. I understand Kerry Z has 2 of them and hasn't had any problems with them. The machine is ideal for someone who doesn't make more than 150 cues per year. Has 5 shaft and butt tapers. Next models will be able to spin cue butts with joint pin attached I'm told.
