profoundly stupid question

The problem is… burdening her with the responsibility of making sure all her friends are careful and respectful is a shitty task to bear.

Why should that be a burden for a young lady or man to set a good example? I remind my son every time I drop him off somewhere to be a leader not a follower. Peer pressure is a bitch and kids make mistakes, but in the end we’re raising adults not children.

I got to see a lot of Nicky in action on the All About Pool Tour here in the North East in the early 90s.

Hard to forget how he would lean over the rack, stare down on the balls and have his opponent re-rack over and over until he was totally satisfied with the contact of the balls in the rack before breaking.

Often between matched he would put on a bath robe and slippers then head off to the bathroom to refreshen up and would come out, walk around still brushing his teeth - he was fun to watch and boy could he play !!

Certainly one of the more memorable players in New England.

First time I played Nicky was in Salem pool hall table 1. I still remember after 45 years the nine ball I missed. I had never played some that good. I drew him first in a tournament and I did not win one game. When Willi Masconi came to town I remember asking why Nicky wasn’t playing him. I

Video as a tool.

Well the other hand combined with video is a good way to go. When I first endeavored to train my left hand to shoot I was shooting too good for the local ring game with the Right hand. The offer of, "I will shoot left handed", got me back into the ring game. Well for a little whil 🤷‍♂️ soon the offer was met with a smile and chuckle and NO!, The video evidence was that my left hand game was more solid because the basics were better. That of course had my weak hand teaching my lead hand. While I still shoot predominantly right the balls position on the table often fit the other hand. Switching seamlessly is a big advantage and help maintain a rhythm when "In The Zone".
In and of itself but the logic was, the cushion is in the way of the bridge, so switch.
