3 things you would change about pool

Rich people DO like POOL,
what they don't like is the seedy locations it is played at;
AND they can afford their own room(s).
Agreed up to a point. I know a lot of rich people who think pool is low class and wouldn’t walk into any pool room anywhere. Also I meant being willing to watch pro pool with sponsors who pay up big bucks and support upscale rooms all over the country like they do private golf courses.

Slow cloth kills the game

If the first object ball is closer to the end rail, this is a standard three cushion shot on new cloth with clean balls. The cue ball follow acts like draw off that ball because it does not completely die or reverse on the first cushion. You can see something similar with "kick and stick" shots on new cloth, where the cue ball can return to the cushion from a ball two or three balls off the cushion.

The shot in the video requires "help".
Kick and sticks are really fun shots to practice. Once you know how to execute them they can be used for all kinds of deviousness and position shots. I'd recommend everyone try them in a progressive practice style drill. It's one practice shot I never get bored with, they just feel so good when everything comes together. Try hitting full ball and both sides of the OB with different spins too, you can make some magic happen when it needs to.

French Lick Resort

This area just isn't known for it's pool players so a league would be unlikely, especially in a Dave & Buster's type environment! French Lick hosted a pro tourney back in 99 iirc but other than that I've never heard of any players from that area or any surrounding counties.

That's very true. I don't recall over the last 27 years of hearing of too many players in this immediate area. I know of a few but that's about it. Of course Greg Sullivan and Diamond Billiards are only about an hour away. And as I've always said, with nobody in the area competition has always been my weak link. Never really had anybody to play.

And French Lick hosted that Mizerak Senior US Open because there was a Brunswick factory down there.

SVB v. Yapp: Why was this jump shot legal?

I think anyone with half a brain knows that scoop jump is illegal. Only place i've ever seen it is when done by drunk jerkoffs in bars.
That or kids that don't know any better. I'm really surprised my friends/cousins and I never did rip the cloth doing this when younger. We just didn't know any better, we honestly thought that was a jump shot. 😂

We did have fun jumping over hotwheel cars like we were Evel Knievel. :LOL:

French Lick Resort

Trust me, if it’s in West Baden, it won’t be Dave and Buster’s! West Baden was the pet project of an extremely successful self made mega millionaire who began his career as a Navy corpsman and ended up with factories all over the world. He produced medical equipment that reduced suffering and saved lives. You might have some of it inside you and not know it. He was a lovely, self-effacing man. His love was restoring old buildings, and the West Baden resort was his premiere project. No, no! There shall be no hint of Dave and Buster’s. The gentleman’s widow and son will see that that doesn’t happen.

Google “Cook Medical.”
