Bob Jewett posted awhile back about using a DAMP rag to wipe down your cloth and I've been doing it for a couple of months, some of the best advice I've ever had for cleaning my table, I do the cushions and the the bed of the table, just try it once for yourself, you'll see.....
Been using damp micro fiber colths for maybe 30 or 35 years.
Maybe micro fiber cloths weren't invented that long ago. We used terry cloth then.
On my table I vacuum first, then come back with the slightly damp cloth, if in the mood for the extra work. Like how long ago did I wipe this table?
Yesterday? No need. Last week? Ya maybe should.
IMO, going stricktly to damp cloths doesn't get the job done properly.
Take off the majority with a vacuum then go after some of the rest with the cloth.
What pool halls don't get (if they even care) is that a clean table gives them much better cloth life, and ball life.
Problem seems to be, not many rooms give a s%#h about how their tables play.
