I beat Buddy Hall in a match trailing 2 to 7. In a race to 11. Things out of nowhere can just all of a sudden turn around. With players of that caliber, it don't take much. FSR as you call him could have without a doubt won that match. Hell, he might have run out the rest of the set. But will never know will we.

My interpretation of the above does not mean 3 out of 8.

He could have broke 100 racks and in his opinion only had 8 decent chances to run out & managed to do so 3 times.

i think the ref should call based on what he sees of the hit and not the way the cue ball rolled. if they want that and this shot was a clear foul, then you need to have a camera. no camera then ref makes his call based on what he sees of the hit.

other wise ref calls what he sees, is fair for both sides. it can work for you or against you. that has been how pool was reffed forever.
other wise the hit becomes more subjective from the ref. even though some shots like this are clear. but only from the after roll of the cueball.

even a very decent player goes a long time not running 3 racks out of 8. with where the cue ball lands on the break.
not many would i stop betting with at that game..

sure the players here are better than what we might see on league night. but in general many are really just rec. players that may only hit balls on league night. nothing wrong with that.

That looks great. Since posting in this thread I picked up a D-1. It doesn’t look as nice as your refinished one, but looks good and is in excellent condition. Nylon wrap is in great shape. It hits great. All I’m doing to it now is a new tip. I don’t know I’d ever have it refinished, but if I do it would probably go back to McDermott like yours did. If I get a second shaft it will be a plain old maple one.

if you are mis cueing at all then your stroke isnt straight and of course a person is sure it is.

and or using english too far out, both up and down.

in both cases its costing you even on the times you are not mis cueing.

its not the chalk or your tip unless both are defective.
