Sold Mike Capone Cocobolo

This is hilarious and sad imo. I'm 64, remember when you would go down to the local store and put up a photo and paper of what you were selling with paper tabs of your home phone numbers up on the community bulletin board and when someone called you they would meet and shake hands and either way shake hands again and go their separate way? Bet none of you don't. I'll say it again, I have 4 cues I'd like to sell because my retirement plans fell through (thought I would be buying a house big enough for a pool room with a display case I would have made with my own hands). I think I'm only allowed to sell one at a time since I'm technically a new member. So I started with this one. My good friend bought it for $1,600 in 2015, he bought it off recollection cues (I have his receipt). I bought it from him 1 year later for $1,000 and never played it (he didn't either). I think it's the most elegant cue I have ever seen. My friend who is on this site advised my cues with wooden shafts aren't "hot" any more and I'd be lucky to get what I paid for. Apparently I'm not asking enough LOL My offer still stands, $1,000 and I'll pay for shipping and I'm gonna ship it in a case. For those of you who actually believe I'm a straight up guy and sent me legit PM's I am discussions right now to sell this. Just waiting on the facetime and this gentlemen seems legit. If this falls through I'll go to the next guy that contacted me.

Rhino Eclipse II Cue

Allright. I got an answer from Rhino. Simple enough, if it's defective, send it back. I have been a mechanic for several decades now and I always like tinkering with stuff, learning how things work, etc, so I decided to hold off on sending it back and looking at some things first.

So, I took a very good look at the cue butt threads and the extension adapter buttcap. Noticed that there is an allen drive at the bottom of it. So, I started threading the extension adapter buttcap on until it stopped, stuck an allen wrench into it and started slowly working it in and out, back and forth until the buttcap was screwed all the way in. It took considerable effort with a short wrench, but is all I had on hand. Backed it all the way out and there were some slivers of composite thread material that had come off the ID of the butt. No damage to the extension adapter buttcap. So, my conclusion is this: they either did not machine the root radius of the butt ID threads correctly, they used some sort of threadlocker to install the standard buttcap, the remnants making the installation of the extension adapter buttplate hard, or they were indeed intended to be a very, very tight fit to avoid the extension adapter buttcap coming off while unscrewing the extension. In their extension advertising video they show the extension buttcap being installed by hand. Not sure if they had a butt with deeper threads cut into the ID to demonstrate, but mine did not work as in the video.

Anyways, I ended up trying it, and I can say that I like the cue. Been playing with it quite a bit. I like how it hits, the balance, and low deflection. The lizard print wrap feels good on the hand. Definitely a cue that is a good value and plays very well. The Nishiki Brown medium tip resembles a Tiger everest on hit and feel. The hit produces a distinct low ping sound from the shaft, but is not too bad. Easy to follow through with the shaft's pro taper. Overall, I am pleased, and it did not cost an arm and a leg like some other cues I have.

can you explain please this break shot by Yapp?

so does this break increase the chance of a run out? or is it to secure the one in the side and have a "decent" but not optimal layout

I think it was Sigel who pointed out recently at the International Open he felt guys ran more racks in the past with a slam into headball and park the cueball centre table style break

just seems like a very difficult break shot to execute consistently at least for non pros

the 9-ball is on the spot which makes it wiser to go for the one in the side, which in turn makes the layout after a wet break less predictable = less runouts

Little Monster Crazy Break

That really shows Predator tables are really Sam Billiards tables haha.. I got this happened me too on Sam Billiards tables 2 times.

think the new predator table is a yalin. presumably not much different from a GC7

Mosconi Cup 2025, Dec. 3-6, Alexandra Palace, London

I found the entire press conference a complete joke and a perfect example of why pool remains in the sports industry gutter. To follow up all the garbage comments and amateur theater with her immediately shilling for ticket sales before closing the conference seemed perfect, they can't even sell out the marquee event in their own backyard!

Do they really think this event/league/tour can compete with legitimate sports on the world stage? Why would any sponsor want to get involved in this mess? I feel like I've had the wool pulled over my eyes the last few years by Matchroom and their big talk but this all just seemed like a joke, right down to the ugly red and blue couches. Pool will remain in the dumpster with the likes of Jason Shaw being its spokesperson.
