DCP,
What pocket(s) are open for the 5?
How do you get there off the 4?
Your problems are not in the rack, table, cloth, balls, your break etc.
What pockets are open???
Can't you see???

I'm sure Usually in 'Korean' rooms! In the US I think 4 ball carom is played more than straight rail -- I've seen a lot of 'korean' 4 ball being played but I can hardly ever remember seeing anyone playing straight rail.
So in this time and place usually seems correct
What do they do when racked with a regular triangle rack?
Am I correct in seeing all 9 balls still on the table? Seems a bit unusual that using a template you aren't dropping a wing ball.
If you ever made inserts from hydex you would know. If it was possible to machine one oiece the diameter of the alignment barrel it woul;d streamline the process. It is a timely process to make one insert imo not worth the time involvedOut of curiosity, why do you want them so long.

I use the Outsville template for breaking racks of 9B. And as you all know I have been breaking those racks on my new Diamond Professional. The issue is that I usually end up with about four balls all close together as shown in the diagram. In this case it's the 4B, 5B, 6B, and 9B. The 6B blocks the 5B into the upper corner and the 9B blocks the 5B into the bottom corner. Thus position from the 4B to the 5B is very difficult. All these balls so close together has been making runouts very difficult for me.
My question is simply - is this normal for a template?
