It's difficult to dispute this. Playing the actual game "banks", Billy and Sky maybe, but that's mostly irrelevant for the Mosconi. You are right, at least for this event, Europe probably out banks the US too. The other thing to consider, is it's possible the US has to bank more balls at Mosconi. Europe definitely has better speed control and plays better shape, which could lead to having to bank less to begin with.
Billy, Shane, Sky, and Filler are in the top for banks I think. In no way is the European team going to beat the US at that one particular game.
They are heavy favorites in rotation though, that's for sure.
People do not understand what it costs to learn how to do things and what equipment costs.

I had a guy who wanted a stainless plate made with his personal intricate design cut into it as well as mounting holes.
The design was such that the plasma guys would not touch it.
He sent me a pic and I created a DXF for his approval and quoted $150 (he supplied the plate).
That is for the design work, creating a fixture, tooling the machine, writing the program, etc.
He passed on it because the price was too high. I stood to make about $30/hr. No way did he find it cheaper. I"m roughly 1/3 the cost of other local shops
because my hours are not that important since my shop is my happy place.
Except we're not better bankers - I'm betting Filler and Fedor( wasn't an "american" until recently). Im taking those 2 over everybody else in the world playing banks

Ok that could be true , I've not seen either of those cues or held one in my hands or played with one .
I feel any cue from Mike deserves a second look .
When I got to meet Shane and Earl I did get to see the cues they played with then for whatever reason I was very impressed with Earl's cue from Mike .
As for Shane's cue I'd bet he has a bit different tapper on the shaft that may not be noticeable without close inspection .
