The amount of people that i see in pool halls that don't do basic tip maintenance is amazing. The amount of Mushroomed tips, no layers left, cracked ferrels is amazing. I touch up my tip pretty much every session. I make sure my tip is the perfect shape and it's properly burnished. This is the part that touches the ball and SHOULD be perfect.
I loved that. As a cue repairman kept me busy. But I understand your point.

Justin Bergman is on a mission

Good to see, but he might have to play in a few international events to rack enough points. We'll see if he's willing to travel. He hasn't so far.

Deschaine never signed up for any big WNT or Predator events. Last time he played in the US Open was in 2016.

Are Junior players being set up for a tough life?

And at minimum courts will sanction you for it (link). It is malpractice. You ready for AI to start providing your healthcare? Driving for you?

Hell two of the richest companies on the planet can't even get the AI in their maps working right and still lead me the wrong way down one way streets, tell me streets don't exist, and so on. That is fairly mature "AI". Anyhow, off topic, I'll shut up now.
Those lawyers didn’t check the citations. They should have. However, that doesn’t mean A.I. doesn’t vastly increase the speed at which lawyers can work.

With the Snooker World Championships currently on, it’s clear how different the game is today compared to back then
😂

Back then the World Snooker Championship looked less like elite sport and more like a mens working club on a Sunday afternoon. One lad’s lining up a tricky red… the other’s got a pint in hand, fag on the go, barely even breaking stride.

You’d have players like Alex Higgins and Bill Werbeniuk treating the mid-session interval like a full pub stop. Higgins chain-smoking between shots, Werbeniuk famously needing a few pints just to steady himself enough to play. No sports science team, no hydration strategy — just lager and instinct.

And the mad thing is, the standard was still ridiculous. Proper matchplay, big breaks, nerves of steel… just with a side of second-hand smoke and the occasional top-up.

Try imagining that now. Modern players measuring water intake to the millilitre, nutrition plans, fitness coaches… meanwhile in the 80s someone’s knocking in a 70 break while holding a cigarette .
