Trying to purchase a cue from screen name gregcantrall

I’m trying to purchase a cue from user gregcantrall. Has anyone had any dealings with him?

He sent pics of the cue but says for security reasons he can’t FaceTime. His PayPal request for funds came from a name of:

Evidently @gregcantrall has had his account hacked.

Have you exchanged PMs with him?

How did you find out about his cue? He does not sell here according to this post he made:

I need to shoot in a few more fargo reporting tournaments

After I stopped playing pool in 2006 a friend talked me into coming out of retirement about a year and a half ago.
I don't play league but practice a 3 or 4 times a month.
I have played in four Fargo reporting tournaments - The first two I fell flat on my face, then the last two I took 4'th and 1'st.
The last one I beat a 547 player to take first and my Fargo rate went from 505 to 511.
My robustness is only at 28 and will take some time since I don't play on a league.
I guess I will have to shoot every Friday night tournament they have to get my rate and robustness up where it should be since they report to Fargo rate.
Most tournaments around here are not Fargo reporting. :(

My advice would be to send Greg a PM, or ask @azhousepro to communicate with Greg via email.
Unfortunately, the world is rife with scammers.
Best regards.

Perfect Aim / THE SHIFT will be on the road again. First stop will be Phoenix, AZ. FREE mini lessons everywhere I go......5/13/2026 1st day.

I've learned that when I'm on a lumpy road, I sit forward like I'm riding a horse and let my hip absorb the bumps. But if someone never road a horse they can kind of imagine it.

Not really. Once you get the fundamentals correct and the eyes correct the cue has to be in a totally different position than is naturally happening. 99% of all players are not doing this naturally but many of the pros are doing it but don't even know they are doing something different and they definitely don't know how to teach it. They are just doing this.

This is also why a player has trouble hitting center ball. You can do drills trying to hit center and it will seem to be such a grind but once a person learns how this shift works, center ball is fairly simple. For example. A left eye dominant person gets too much left English and not enough right English. The sad thing about it is the dominant eye covers this up and the player doesn't even know they are lacking the English. But once you raise your head you will see the problem.

This is so fun to teach because the player can see with their own eyes that this is correct. 100%. And how I show to fix it with the shift, they can also see that this is the solution and it makes the aiming so much better. The eyes stay in the correct position and not allowed to drift too far.
You were able to apply this shift even with the whiplash?

Ultraskin tips minimum order amount has increased

I have several on hand yet and have been selling them for 10.00 through a friend that plays league 4 nights a week.
I practice on his diamond table about 3 times a month and gave him a free tip to check out which is why he sells them for me.
I generally throw a 5 spot in his scratch kitty when we shoot at his place. Back in the day about 50 years ago we played a lot of pool together.
He talked me into coming out of retirement about 1 1/2 years ago.

3D Printed One Pocket Ball Rack

I did some more work last night and printed this out. (ran out of filament and didn't have the same color). I winged this one just to test the concept. The shelves need a slightly bigger ledge. They hold the balls fine, but they can fall out if someone grabs the holder and takes it back to the table carelessly. The player name paper holder needs to be a touch wider, as its bending the paper. The shelves are a different shape than the other designs because I'm laying it on its back to print, without support. The concept works though, I'm quite pleased!

Seeing the contact point on the object ball.

Even for Smorg representatives, Straightline's aiming method may have utility finding the aiming line when object ball is very close to cue ball: Find object-ball contact point and the midpoint between object and cue balls. Connect the two points --- that is the aiming line before the center-point roll to cue-ball center. If the balls are very close together that last adjustment step may be ignored.

It is a rough estimate for me.
CPG is easier to illustrate with the balls close together. It doesn't fail at full table proportions.

Since you brought up balls close together, CPG is also the best way I've found to make shots inside of 6". Imagine the balls nearly frozen. In trying to make a thin legal hit, what do you look for? You may peer at the edges but all players will automatically point the stick in the right direction and shoot on that basis.
Now imagine the balls a half inch apart with a thin cut to the far corner. Fractions wash out. You're nearly on the ghost ball. What do you do?
Rhetorical question. CPG can still provide the stick line. If there's enough space between the balls to visualize the contact lattice, you'll have your stick line.

Trying to purchase a cue from screen name gregcantrall

No idea whom he is. Get him to write a detailed bill of sale describing the cue, its condition and disclose any flaws that’s cosmetic or affected how it plays, ex., cue butt, shafts or assembled cue isn’t straight, cracked ferrule, etc.

That’s important because you was to repeat this in your message you send the seller paying for the purchase of goods.
Be sure he sends you a complete description of the cue in his Pay Pal invoice so you can get a refund if the cue is not as described. That’s why you need the seller to warrant the cue is straight and mention any nicks, dents, scuffs, chips, or any other flaws the cue could have. Nowadays you must be careful; if the seller hesitates, don’t buy the cue.
