Seeing the contact point on the object ball.

Hello, for those of you who use contact point aiming systems, where you first find the contact point on the object ball
by drawing a line from the pocket through the object ball, here is my question.
Let's say you have a long shot , and the object ball is a solid color. You step away from the object ball, after finding the contact point, and head
back to the cue ball which is say - 4 diamonds away. How do you keep track of that contact point on the object ball with your eyes? Thank you.

Numbers on Aramith balls not flush?

I have never seen nor heard of any Aramith set of pool balls, even the lowest priced versions, ever manifest a problem or complaint about being able to feel the design. It is not like rings or inlays that are installed in a cue by the cue maker.

I am sure Aramith would tell you this doesn’t happen with their pool ball sets under normal usage. I have a set of Centennials; my 1st set ever purchased. I also have two additional sets of Centennials and 2 sets of Aramith pool balls that are perfect.

My 1st set of Centennial pool balls are 40 years old that shows signs of usage from the tiny nicks that always develop sooner or later from play. This very set is my travel set. It gets played a lot and the Centennial design is still perfect and smooth.

This is a flaw, IMO, and can effect the roll or a pool ball as it slows down, especially if English was used on the stroke.
It could be a counterfeit set, just saying because Aramith pool balls do not exhibit this problem & this definitely is one.
My set of Aramith IPT Tour balls have raised, veryws palpable numbers on over half the set including the cueball. I was told that these were a demo set but who knows. I bought them as an investment. Like buying a rare flawed stamp or coin.

Another stupid thread from me: golf is harder than pool

I remember Earl Saying pools harder than golf ys ago.
I know Grady Matthews once said to get good you have to hit at least 2,000,000 pool balls.
In golf, if you hit two million balls, you better be in Dam good shape, as I've heard many pro golfers often need some type of surgery.

Gosh, I really don’t want to quarrel with you because it is just too humorous to interrupt your train of thought.

The one about hitting a pool ball versus a golf ball was so comically inept I still chuckle when I recall it. Wow,
I can wait to read your future uttering about games versus sports, physical skills and physical stamina inferences.

By the way, the final round of the U.S. Amateur Golf Championship is played as two consecutive rounds of golf
(18 holes) for a total of 36 holes walked regardless of inclement weather conditions unless golf gets suspended.

Now pro golf is different because it is televised so fast pace of play is critical to attract TV audiences and golf carts
get you from hole to hole quickly. But the pros are still playing in the heat and rain, working out at the mobile gyms
provided by golf club cos., hitting balls in between tournaments, for ex,, Vijay Singh would hit up to a 1,000 balls/day.

Nope, I’m not going to debate with you because it’s way too fun to read some of your posts. Keep it up. There’s far
too much depressing news in the world today & all of us appreciate some occasional pick me up chuckling….Thanks.

Post-Beasley Open WNT Mosconi Cup Rankings Updated (USA only)

This is not good.

Jesus is not American. Why are Matchroom trying to infiltrate the US team with foreigners?

The US Mosconi Cup team is going to end up as a joke if 2 of the automatic selections are Jesus, Thorsten or Lukas.

That then means the captain has to use his wildcards on SVB and Sky, so no space for Bergman.
The inclusion of Atencio would make a lot more sense than the inclusion of Bergman, who a) has never played in a WNT rankings event despite the fact we are now in the fifth year of that tour, and b) will turn 39 before the 2026 Mosconi Cup.

Want to make Team USA an even bigger joke than it already is? All you need to do is a) invite Bergman as a wildcard, a player that has avoided WNT ranking events like the plague and b) exclude young improving players like Verner and Atencio, each of whom has won a WNT ranking event. Of course, all of them can get in on points and I wish them all luck in doing so, but wildcards should go to players that play in and succeed in WNT ranking events.

Can the recent Matchroom trend of defiant opposition to the inclusion of young improving players on Team USA go on forever? Hope not.
