Pro Pocket Size TOO Small for 9 Ball

That is the issue I have in a nutshell. Looking at play from 2024 and 2025, earlier this year, on video it seems the players have gotten way too fond of playing safeties. If a shot is 50-50, here comes the safety even if the safety is 50-50 too. They are playing more safeties than snooker, a game named after the safety or vice-versa!

Hu
Guys were doing that in the 90s and probably before that. Lemon ball. You could limit individual rack time with diminishing value. Like one bead or nothing but the next break for exceeding the time limit.

I finally played Ultimate Pool

Wanted to clear up something that I had wrong.

Say you get down to where your opponent has 4 balls and you have one (or whatever the number is) and you are looking to tie up some balls because you don't have a decent shot. You cannot hit their (say solid, when you're stripes) first and make it tie up other balls, that was loss of rack, or depending on which TD you have unsportsmanlike. In 8 ball there are plenty of times where you can't get out and tying up the opponents ball forcing them to use a creative breakout is the only way to keep your game chances alive.

Early Impressions Of The Diamond Professional

I don't know. Been wondering this for years and years and years.

An exorcism, perhaps?
On the Diamond, try taking some speed off the break.
Instead of 80% taker down to 60%.

Try this in a few locations and see what happens. The way I discovered it was being to lazy to hinge the break cue and just breaking with a pricey playing cue.
I figured I would just open them up, not taking a chance on damaging the playing cue.

Low and behold, 1,2 sometimes 3 on the snap.
