Table Difficulty Factor (TDF) for measuring table "toughness"

Let's say you have two tables stock from the Diamond Factory - 4 1/2 inch pockets.

1 is a 7ft the other a 9ft Both are built to play exactly alike.

They are both perfectly level, the cloth is brand new every time with no chalk dust, debris whatsoever.

Now the player is a robot with a perfectly straight stroke that sends both cueball and object ball on exact starting lines.

What table is tougher?
The 9' is WAY WAY harder. You can figure it out for yourself in 5 minutes of shooting. Just throw balls on the table and count your misses.

Maybe it's just me, but my height has been an advantage for me my entire life.
It's give and take.

I've always been into cars and racing, guess what a 6'3" dude doesn't fit in? Pretty much every fun sports car ever built.

Airplanes? Ha... I don't fly anymore.

Movie theaters / ball games sporting events in general? Yeah, I love my knees jammed into a seat 1ft in front of me.

Yeah, I can reach to get something off the top shelf at the store, but I ain't going to act like that's been more helpful than literally being able to fit in normal spaces and not smash my head walking in basements or generally anywhere confined.

I am going to try and get to the Mall in Evansville tomorrow. I believe they have some Diamond tables there. I am going to try and play on their 9-foot table. I believe it's a Pro Am. I want to see if I get the same horrible spreads and lack of making balls on it like I do on this GCIV.

Maybe in another year my GCIV might be available for a fair price. I'll keep you in mind. And don't worry, if I do decide to sell it I won't be asking $4,000. Be well less than that.
