RAXX Pool Room????

There are a couple of other rooms on Long Island, both a bit further east from Bayshore. VIP Billiards and Goodfellas. I play at both Raxx and Bayshore Billiards every week. Raxx is a very good room, they both are actually. The food is great at Raxx and it is a very active room, DJ on the weekends etc. There are some good to very good non-pro players and it does host some tournaments, large and small. I believe Moritz Neuhausen was just there last weekend. Bayshore Billiards changed out their GC's this week, mainly GC1's, for 10 GC VII's. They have some Diamond barboxes in the back for APA and a couple of billiards tables as well.

Jason sword interview

The way he coddles Fedor is very strange. I understand being his manager and all, but he's on another level.

Fedor has a better 10ball break so of course he would want an edge over Filler. It would be nice to hear these things come out of Fedor's mouth directly, instead of him trying to be a spokesperson for Fedor. He sounds like a diva.

No one wants to watch a long race 9ball money match where there will be slop everywhere. Filler should be jumping up out of his seat to play 10ball, he's the best player on the planet. But we will never know the real side of his perspective because it's coming from a 3rd party.

I kind of don't want to see Fedor vs SVB for the 3rd time, it's gotten stale.

I much prefer hearing from the players themselves as opposed to their manager/backer. Bro thinks he's a celebrity 😂
No one wants part 3. Who else will step up besides svb

WNT PREMIER LEAGUE OF POOL 2026, Miami, Fla, Feb. 18-22

Too many self-inflicted errors for Bergman today. He isn’t going to make the cut.

Some very questionable decisions. Should have played safe a few times. He has one big weakness. Long somewhat straight shots. He’s missed a handful the past few days.

Great player, but not better than Woodward. Sky looked great trouncing Styer today in Vegas.

Kaci is in really good shape, and it’s really helped his game. Lost more weight than I thought. He has a bit of a gut for awhile.

Shreveport?

I’m at Red River right now eating some red fish.

They have four Tournament matte black GC6’s in the middle of the room. They look nice but the fit and finish is not good. Pocket irons stick up a lot. Cloth install is hack worthy.

Table plays good, very similar to a blue label Diamond. Yes they play short for a Brunswick. Ball holder is just stupid but at least there is one.

Aim Visualization Techniques

I used to use a technique I called railroad tracking, where I would visualize three lines going through the ob to the pocket, one through the center of the ball and one on either edge, then three parallel lines through the cueball. Then three lines intersecting the two sets of lines. It's EXTREMELY accurate but also mentally taxing to do for hours at a time.
I suppose you could push the envelope on enduring that too. To me one should embrace one's method - as the path, so to speak. Beats all the pressure they want you to crumple under.

Can you diagram that triple cross (:ROFLMAO:) method? Anything to look for in the grid?

Pro Billiard Series - Las Vegas Men's Open 10ball live now

Switched over to the PLP being played in Florida. Big difference, starting with the gray cloth, not nearly so pleasing to the eye as the blue cloth used in the Predator event. The commentary was amateurish by comparison as well, and 9-Ball is boring after watching a good Ten Ball match. The players made many errors and misses on a Diamond table that was more forgiving than the Predator box. The audio was garbled and the camera work not nearly as good. Definitely a lower quality production than the one Predator is putting on.

I love what Mathroom has done for pool but they are falling behind Predator in this head to head competition imo.
"and 9-Ball is boring after watching a good Ten Ball match"....It is amazing how many can't admit or see that.

Putting Education on the Table

It looks like a form letter not a petition.

Who is the undesignated letter directed to? Are you suggesting if someone "signs" this you are just going to mass mail it to unidentified schools across the country? Or where are you sending it, specifically?

How is "nonprofit status" going to facilitate anything and what do you mean by that?

Not seeing the plan here that would have anyone "sign" it without asking questions other than just a "Go Pool!" point of view.
Here it is in case no one actually read it. It's a real word salad

The Issue

Dear [School Board Members / Superintendent / Principal / Athletic Director],

I am writing to formally propose the introduction of Billiards/Pool as both an elective course and a varsity sport within our schools under the initiative titled Putting Education on the Table (P.E.T.).

Billiards is far more than a recreational pastime—it is a strategic, inclusive, and academically enriching activity that supports cross-curricular learning while promoting focus, discipline, and sportsmanship.

Why Billiards Belongs in Schools

Cross-Curricular Learning

Mathematics: Geometry (angles of incidence and reflection), physics (momentum, friction), statistics, and probability.
Physics & Engineering Concepts: Force transfer, spin dynamics, energy conservation.
Psychology & SEL: Emotional regulation, patience, resilience, and decision-making.
Business & Entrepreneurship: Tournament organization, event marketing, budgeting, and sponsorship management.
Inclusive & Accessible
Billiards is an all-inclusive sport that welcomes students of varying physical abilities, learning styles, and athletic backgrounds. It offers competitive and recreational pathways without the physical barriers found in many traditional sports.
Mental Performance & Academic Benefits
Participation enhances concentration, strategic thinking, pattern recognition, and long-term planning—skills directly transferable to academic success.
Varsity & Scholarship Opportunities
Competitive billiards is a growing field with structured leagues and scholarship pathways. Establishing a varsity program would position our school as a leader in innovative athletic programming.
Safe & Structured Environment
With proper equipment standards and supervision, billiards programs can be safely implemented in designated school spaces with minimal risk compared to many contact sports.
Proposed Implementation

Pilot elective course integrating math and physics applications.
After-school club transitioning into junior varsity and varsity teams.
Partnerships with local billiards organizations and community sponsors.
Hosting inter-school tournaments to build community engagement.
Putting Education on the Table (P.E.T.) is more than a sports proposal—it is an opportunity to modernize extracurricular offerings while reinforcing academic skills in an engaging and innovative way.

I respectfully request that the board review this proposal and consider forming a committee to explore feasibility, budgeting, and pilot program development.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss this initiative further.

Sincerely,
Jerry Mister

Snooker superstar Ng On Yee playing in the Las Vegas Women's Open

Didn't look so great against Wei. I haven't rewatched the entire match, but it seemed like she struggled with the expected things: tactical play and short area positioning (e.g. where you need to get within an inch or two of the right spot). With tactical play, it seemed like she played a lot of snooker-like containing safeties and got punished with a counter.
That was a slugfest of a match. She didn't show too much.

Aim Visualization Techniques

Skimming the video now. In the parallel lines section, one added thing I do is extend the contact line through both balls. This yields what I call reciprocal sections and figuratively, the actual "cut".

Tell ya a funny KN story: this was about '88-'89ish and Kevin and his partner came to T-town. They were real young and on their first road trip. They came in Leroy's 'hall while a five handed ring game was going on: Matlock, Dick Lane, Jim McDermott, Donnie Fulks and another top local guy. After watching these guys trade runouts Kevin stopped me and asked "Does everyone in this damn town play this good?". I just laughed and kept walking. Kevin got a job at the BillardPalace and stayed a few yrs before he went back. He was the first guy i saw make some of Vernon Elliot's prop. bank shots.
Those ring games down in KaTexAhoma were legendary. I know I've told this before but playing 9-ball ring game on a bar table in Wichita one time - Matlock, Junior Brown, Gabe Owen, Jamie Bowman, James Walden, Cliff Joyner... and me. This was about 97/98 or so. And other players rotating in and out between their tournament matches.

That'll pucker your butt a little.

Sounds like Kevin is a little smarter than I am :)
