After you win a game a pool...

The equipment is a inanimate object that cant be disrespected, we who love the game regard it as more, but its just a table. I think it seems a little rehearsed but, no harm no foul.

The sport needs juice even ifs a little silly looking, if it reminds someone whos watching of the Nascar drivers standing on top of their cars maybe they'll tell someone about and we'll gain a new fan...,
Of course an inanimate object like a table can’t be “disrespected.” Objects never care. But what things represent to people in this case the games history and image of the game/sport to people watching can. The line of what’s acceptable and dignified always shifts, and usually slides in the wrong direction. That’s the whole point of my comment about people looking for the clicks & likes. That’s a trait that was around long before social media but is now magnified and now normalized. It cheapens a culture’s values and rewards fake-as-fuck moments. Climbing on tables feels less like raw emotion and more like a scripted TV stunt. If cosplay is our plan to “juice” the sport, we’re in bigger trouble than I thought. I get it, I’ll never win an argument or debate against what is “normal” in a society.

Tascarella Cue

Where do you draw the line?

OP has 4 separate threads listing this cue for sale.
OP has 5 separate threads listing another Tasc for sale.

I think you are right…..maybe overzealousness, poor computer connection that was slow so he tried several times or he could be a jerk. Regardless, he should ask the Mods to clean up his mess and he should have already done that by now.

SVB Shorter Cue

Two weeks ago, I picked up a house cue 18 oz good tip/straight, I really remember, liked and felt a few shots, just like the old days.
Then today....
I saw this comment he'd just made. ''so I decided to stop using the extension to see if it would help my rhythm''

It makes allot of sense, he began with a 58".
Reinspired.... perfect timing for the US Open eh.... Stu :).

I'll take 10-1 that SVB wins the US Open only if I can bet $500.

After you win a game a pool...

How much does a table cost to relevel?? A 1200lb Daimond table is not going to be effected by a 175lb guy standing on it for one minute.
"A 1200lb Daimond table is not going to be effected by a 175lb guy standing on it for one minute" >>> only takes a second. And if they step on a rail...The rail is bulletproof?

Let's try this... is it inappropriate? If it was yours would you enter the person dancing on the table ...America Has Talent or Dancing With The Stars?
Anyway...no chance the cloth can get damaged? None right?

My friends son had his friends over...tells me one guy got up the table and what would I do? Aside from paying for any damage he'd never be allowed back to that room.

Seriously if the owners don't mind and the crowd loves it ...WTF.

The great debate continues.........

Tascarella Cue

The main forum is for anything pool related so this thread more than meets that requirement. The seller may not get as many prospective buyers to view this thread in this Forum versus the For Sale Section where most people browse for cues for sale. So he may not get the viewings he’d otherwise enjoy but this thread is nonetheless pool related, IMO, so it’s his choice.

Tascarella Cue

Tascarella cues are ALWAYS for sale somewhere- I see a new one for sale several times a month- not rare at all! I would also say that at $3500 for a Plain 4 point cue - it absolutely should play as good as all that money will buy- not a knock- just stating that when one is going $2500+ for plain 4 pointers; the expectation of superior playability just has to be there.

Radial joint insall

I am a long time woodturner and have probably the best wood lathe made, Robust.
Even with that it's hit or miss a bit when using a wood lathe to drill with. You may get lucky with yours, probably not. The odds of your drill bit being centered are remote at best, close, usually, but centered like a machinist lathe, probably not.
Best you can do is when bringing up the tailstock is to experiment drilling by pushing on the drill chuck forward or backward first before tightening it down. That doesn't solve if up or down is off. Also few wood lathes have a center bore big enough to put a shaft in.
