I watched a live stream of an 800 Fargo rate player, competing in a $20 weekly tournament, recently.

Not in this lifetime. 😂

Seriously though, you might have to give up the 6 out to some players? Even if you were just a really strong B player, for example. It just should not be in a race to 2 game tournament. Not even a race to 3, in my opinion. Going to at least 5 games should be minimum, if the players must give or get ball spots. If they are very short races, like to 3 games, then there really should not be any handicaps, unless some of the players are not even good enough to run 3 or 4 balls. In that case, I think Game spots are the way to go. Make the better player go to 4, or 5 games, and the weak player go to 2 games.

>>>FS: classic Josswest (Bill Stroud), ivory inlays, nice!! <<<

Cool mid-late 1970s Josswest made by Bill Stroud while he was building cues in Tulsa. This cue has been a played and has been stored away for several years. We just did a quick butt finish polish and cleaned the wrap and shafts. Finish and wrap are original. Played but well cared for cue. Same owner has had this for over 30 years.

Finish has some dents and dings but nothing glaring or bad. Still really doesn’t need a refinish imo, very presentable original survivor. Maybe 80-85%….see all pics. 4 ebony points into BEM with maple/black/maple/black veneers. Ivory diamonds in points and butt sleeve, 13 in total. . Maple block rings at joint, stitch rings elsewhere, and stainless steel piloted 5/16-14.

58” cue, equally split with 29” butt and shaft. Weight is 21.2 or 21oz (16.8 and 4.4, 4.2). Shafts are 13mm and 12.7mm. Both roll nice on the butt but you can see light underneath in the middle from sanding. Nice ivory ferrules. Butt has a very small lift at the joint as many old JWs did. Cue rolls nice together, very playable and hits like a tank.

Cue will be sold exactly as described and as-is.

Pool Ball Collecting.

I think the auction dipped under the radar a bit, Mr M… always a risk in such a short seven-day listing. Many is the time I have frustratingly discovered desirable sets had been sold a little while after the event.

The auction stood at just $305 with three bidders until the last second where two folks each made one more final bid. Hearty congratulations to the lucky winner. It wasn’t me.

profoundly stupid question

Would require a proper introduction and training. Just like driver training. Wouldn't give her the car to cruise with her friends until completion of driver training and license attained. Pool table privileges would be the same on my table.
Yeah...and remove nice sticks from the room.

How about telling the childrens first visit is supervised?

You "no" people are party poopers.

When we're on our deathbeds, we won't wish our pool tables werein better condition, we'll wish we had let our daughters enjoy what we did too.

profoundly stupid question

Does your daughter know how to treat the equipment properly? In other words, have you taught her correct?

Is she generally responsible?

If the answers to these questions is yes, then yes, I think you should allow it with a warning that she’s responsible for her friends and if anything is abused she won’t get to do it again.
I don’t know a 14 year old that meets those criteria. My 14 year old is great child. She’s 14 tho.

I know it’s a material possession but dang

Amazing collection on Ebay

There sems to be a amazing billiard collection on sale on ebay:

Napoleon Bonaparte 1st cue?
Bit pricey though, some beautiful pieces from the past
Would have thought the seller to be on AZ.
This guy bought up a ton of stuff decades ago cheap.....he missed his window to get reasonable prices. Now he is asking for prices he will never get. When he passes, this will be a hell of a yard sale.

profoundly stupid question

OK- I have a mancave/barndominium 150 yards from house that the Lord gives me great peace in. Diamond professional 8'. I take great care of my stuff...keep my pool room pretty spotless.......My 14 year old daughter had a few friends over and wanted to go shoot pool with her friends...without dad, of course......

What say ye?
