Mid America lathe upgrade

Fit two replacement handles to the wheels of my Mid America Professional lathe today. The fixed handles they had were slightly inconvenient. Not only do these spin free, I made a little extender bar for the small wheel. Was pretty simple to upgrade, especially if you put them where the original handles were. Just take the original wheels off and punch out the fixed ones, then drill and tap, 10x24, for the new ones. Really simple great upgrade.

Love the extension. Sadly it won’t work with the bigger wheel I upgraded. They would hit each other

Who builds the Becue, full pool cues, and are they popular?

I have spent a fair amount of time in Italy over the last five years. I was curious what part of the country these were manufactured at.
After studying Google maps I noticed that the Becue factory shares a wall with a company that produces carbon fiber products of many kinds, including tubes.
I am not a betting man but it seems likely that the company next door may be where they could get there tubes from.
I'm not surprised the company next door supplies their tubes, the engineers that started Becue were already working in CF, my guess is that it was probably at that factory, they spent 3 years of R&D before releasing their 1st cue, they are still doing R&D , it's one of the things I love about Becue, they are not putting out something new just to say it's new, they are building different shafts for different types of hits, not every player will like the same type of hit, It's not that one shaft is better than another, they are engineered to play differently.

Hard to Find the Center of the Cue Ball

I know center CB is advised when you don’t need spin for positioning, but I’ve found that particularly under pressure and late in the rack, even when CB position is not needed, it’s more comfortable for me to apply some inside or outside, as I’ve done my entire life as a pool player.

I’ve found that I’ve missed some really crucial easy 9 ball shots trying to convince myself to try to hit center ball, but then I guess subconsciously in the middle of the stroke I either accidentally apply spin and don’t adjust my aim point or visa versa, causing a miss. Does anyone else experience this?
I could've written your post word for word...

Hard to Find the Center of the Cue Ball

P
Gonna make a guess based on issues making the money ball. I missed the money ball far more than I should have for years. Finally figured it out. Every other shot, I played to make the ball and get shape. Money ball, I didn't need shape so I just played not to scratch. I was playing the money ball shot differently than any other shot!

I cured my problem by choosing a spot for shape when I shot the money ball, then it became just like any other shot.

For practice, shoot the spot to spot shot but put a gate to go through. Something else, put a ball near the cue ball's path. Keep getting it closer until you can almost rub it without the cue ball getting sucked into it.

99% certain your unconscious is causing your issues. Need to train it not to anticipate.

Spot to Spot with a gate is a great drill, my instructor introduced me to this drill, cue ball on the foot spot object ball on the head spot, the goal of the drill is to shoot the object ball with a stop shot and drive object ball to the rail and have it return back to the cueball on the head spot and drive the cueball back over the foot spot, it's truly humbling drill, he told me if can come close to driving the cueball back over the foot spot you are doing good, out of thousands of tries I have only completed the drill correctly once in my life.....

Cueist app.. whats your score rating?

Good to see you're still able to work on this. Cueist is too good to go stale!
I'd love to have a shot designer/editor. We all complain 'too difficult/thin/unusual' for some shots, a designer tool would make those complaints go away. I guess there has to be some way to tell the algorithm how difficult the shot is, or whatever metadata you are using (length, type, angle, etc)

(btw I was going to post my rating but the stats page is hanging up at the moment)
