Fargo Rate - Not Much Math Here

Found him. Full name whited out by me. Looks sir like you play jam up. 705 preliminary rating, 71 robustness, no starter rating. Open speed for sure, even if you played out of your mind this particular tournament (or many tournaments). I couldn't find the tournament in digital pool. I found the name there, but no match history (its search is hit or miss, even for my own matches).

Feeling 100

You can do it. maybe start taping and post on here and we can give feedback? If you can run 50, you can run 100. I finally ran 100 last year. Ran 113. Highest run since then has been 86. I am 54 now. Without watching, my only advice is to play within yourself. I can't crush break shots like Filler, so I don't try to usually. Also, try not to just run into balls. Don't give up. Easy to do. Goals aren't easy. You have hit 75, so 100 makes sense. If you hadn't, I would say set a lesser goal. Good luck. Brian

I don’t really agree with the saying if you can run 50 you can run 100. There’s a ton of guys that can run 50 that have never run 100. You may as well say if you can run one rack you can run 100 balls. That sounds equally as ridiculous to me.

Rail break shots

I was watching a video of Souquet and Lechner (2021 International) and Josh Filler was giving commentary. Max cut a ball in the corner and went into the side of the pack and he got stuck. Joshua said he would have used draw as that adds follow coming off the rail. Just got me thinking. This wasn't the initial break shot; is that why to use draw instead of follow? I always see the break shot demonstrated with follow and that is how I hit it, but maybe because there are no gaps that is ok, but with a stack partially broken, draw is better? Thoughts? You can watch the video too. It is on youtube. Great to see inside of the head of Josh Filler. He provides a lot of insight.

He corrected himself and said stun. When he said draw, I think he was just saying to hit the ball low so it follows through the rack.

Fargo Rate - Not Much Math Here

Edit.. I am replying to your reply which was not what I meant in my post LOL. You posted "run a rack in 4 tries" which seems to mean break and run, but I meant run a rack in 4 tries meaning 4 innings in a rack, not a 25% break and run rate.

There is no way a maxed-out APA player will not be able to run out a rack in under 4 innings most of the time with an open table. Not saying they will do so every single time, but most open table layouts for a 7/9 would be a one or two inning game, maybe 3 at times if it's not a 7-footer. It's just impossible to max out any league and not be able to run out well.
You're right - I did misunderstand. Perhaps a better way to word that is like you just did, four misses to finish a rack. For reference, I always read "run a rack" as all in the same turn (isn't that how it's supposed to be read, hence the word "run"?).
