Same room for error or more than there was when records were being set a hundred years ago with tight pockets and much lesser equipment and accessories. Big pockets came and went for spectators. I'm sure play will get easier and harder in more cycles to come to keep spectators happy.

Tighten things until few or none can break and run and spectators and players will be crying, and play will be made easier. It's a constant seesaw.

I have seen it in pool and another handful of sports. The best want things tough, it keeps them on top. Many of the rest of the field think they can buy or legislate winning. They can't, but the thought is "I would have a chance if the pockets were a quarter inch bigger or the chalk grabbed a little better or I could just use this super magic chalk ...

I have seen people price themselves out of being able to compete in a dozen forms of competition because they think they can buy wins. They may buy one or two wins but they can't buy winning!

Two things create winners, talent and hard work. Somebody let me know when I can go buy a jar of either one!

Of course half the cowboys were twirling sticks after the color of money. I tried it but it aggravated me more than other people so I had to give it up. Funny story about that. When I first started playing pool seriously, I was day time manager at a pool hall in Redlands, Ca called corner pocket.

The owner used to buy and sell pool tables (where I learned how to be a table mechanic) and every pool table in the hall was for sale. Well he found this guy in Beverly Hills who had a turn of the century Brunswick nine foot with 2" single piece slate, took 8 of us to move it, the sloping inlaid legs and 3 identical 1976 rich cues. The high end ones with 8 points, 4 veneers on each point and 36 MOP inlays.

The guy was going through a divorce and Scott bought the table and the 3 cues for 2500. We refurbished the pool table and it sold for 13K alone.

I ended up with one of the rich cues and Scott ended up with two.

I was trained in martial arts, so I would twirl mine around like the movie, well one night, Scott tried to do that and it flew out of his hands and split just above the handle, lol.

It became the most expensive jump cue I ever saw, lol

I tried to get it from him to go with my rich, which I still have, but he wouldn't give it to me.

If you wanna play in a church or library go ahead, don't expect everybody else to do what YOU want

To my limited knowledge, with most LD shafts the PP is upwards of 15". Some by quite a lot. Go ahead and make the video but be sure to include let's say, 4 or 5 different types of shots and shoot them all with different speeds and distances using the same length bridge. No cherry picking.
