Mosconi Cup 2025, Dec. 3-6, Alexandra Palace, London

2-0 for Europe
The Americans look shaky and nervous, the Europeans are just having fun, a stroll in the park
Therein lies the difference. Europe's best two players in the MC aren't just elite in general, but they relish the pressure, and that helps ease the rest of the team, too. They expect to dominate at the MC and everyone on Team USA is just hoping they don't screw up.

How do like your chances playin Shane a race to five vs. a race to eleven 9b??
Of course I'd rather play a longer race. Luck plays less a role in longer races ...

ANYTHING can happen in a race to five.
... but talent still wins out in the long run, short races or long.

You live for this deal i get it but don't put too much meaning in the outcome.
I enjoy the Mosconi because of the loud and in-to-it crowd. Sure beats a dead crowd at the WPC.

I also enjoy seeing pool players under the most intense pressure they will face in their professional careers. Being a fan of all other sports, I know pressure separates the wheat from the chaff and the great from the not so great. That's why I watch playoffs of most major sports.

Does it change world rankings?
No, it doesn't change the rankings. SVB is still, arguably, the best player ever despite little Mosconi success. I get it.
Of course not. Its entertaining for what it is
That's how I take it. Entertaining for what it is. I won't lose sleep over who wins or loses.

Be Aware!!! EBAY-

PayPal would have reimbursed him in full if he used it as a purchase and not send payment using Family & Friends.
I use PP all the time. It’s never failed to reimburse me in full for damaged items, not as described or not delivered.

I make it a point to use PP, especially on several hundred of transactions over several decades I’ve made using eBay.
100% of my my claims have always recovered my payment in full & I’ve had to file a few dozen claims over the years.

To followup on this, funny thing is I went to BeIN website, and I don't think theyre even streaming the Mosconi Cup event, even tho they have the rights for it on areas including (MENA), so thats kinda funny, we can't watch anywhere but pirated stuff I guess for me its legal in that regard with considering the facts.

i'm also in a country with exclusive, expensive rights. i use a VPN (can usually get one for free trial) and set to canada or US

Have you witnessed the number of ways the US has found to dog it in this deal? I don't care how many times a team wins, the format is still a joke. Its a made 4 tv time sensitive deal so they have be fast i get it but winning/losing it doesn't move the pool needle at all. Thirty minutes after the last ball drops no one says a thing about it. Its an exhibition and always will be.
Savvy as you are, Garczar, you really do have some ... curious views. The players clearly take the event seriously. Joshua Filler said yesterday it is his favorite event. SVB said there is no event with more pressure.

Every player wants to play in it. Moritz Neuhausen said this week it was his lifelong dream to play in the Mosconi. FSR is in the stands. Said his goal is to make it to the Mosconi in the US next year.

So yeah, he's not thinking about the Mosconi 30 minutes after it ends.

Not only that. The Mosconi is the biggest money maker, by far, for Matchroom's pool portfolio. It is allowing (for now) MR to finance its WNT tour. Without the Mosconi, there might not be a WPC. And who knows if the US Open would have survived.

I've never seen another sport in which players took an "exhibit "this seriously. The only exception is the Ryders Cup. That tells me something.

Should we view it the same as the WPC or another major championship? No. But it is unquestionably more than a mere exhibit. Nothing moves the pool needle more, actually.
