Mosconi Cup 2025, Dec. 3-6, Alexandra Palace, London

Real tough watch today. I'm no world beater, so I have little room to talk. I also know I am not the only one to say it, but hard to believe this is the best team a country of our size can put out. I'm not naming names, but had serious concerns with 2 on our team. Unfortunately, today's performance proved that to be true, for day 1 anyway. You could almost tell when the miss was coming. A change\rush as they stepped into the shot. Brutal. We've all been there, but damn...Hoping there is some inspirational speech tonight given and tomorrow is different, but my money sure would not be on it. I'd just love to see this get into the weekend. So painful.

Who builds the Becue, full pool cues, and are they popular?

I understand that the Becue pool cues, and shafts are made in Italy, but I am curious who makes them.

Are they made in a factory, like maybe Longoni? I understand that some brands have a a factory, like Joss for example, build them a line of cues, so I am not sure if Becue is just a small custom shop, or if they are built in a large production cue factory.

Are they very popular? Maybe in Europe, if not in the USA? I see that Dennis Hatch plays with a Becue, and I wonder how he likes it. I assume he likes it a lot, if he is playing good with it.

The reason I ask is because I do not see them up for sale on ebay, for example. Is there any market for them, if one might need to sell one?

Does anyone here play with a full Becue? That is another issue. I have found very few reviews, from players, who have tried one.

I recall Becue being the 1st company who ever tried to market Carbon fiber cues, and it seems like they are still the only company who builds a full Carbon Fiber cue(?). I wonder why that is.

Anyways, thanks a lot for any thoughts about Becue, and their full cues, if you have ever had the opportunity to try one.

Any experience with the Engage 11.8mm shaft? Does the full Carbon Fiber butt feel / hit very good with one of their shafts, in your opinion?

Thank you very much for any thoughts.
Justin, how about you look it all up for yourself.

It’s not just Tyler and Thorpe. Both Shane and Fedor are not good as team players.

In order to get a different team, more Americans need to attend WNT events and score some points.
But in order to do that, they will have to leave the bar box mentality behind.
It all goes down to the same root issues.

5 American players went to the Mosconi and a 340 million nation couldn’t find some players good enough to play at the Spanish Open. They won’t get to an international pro level by playing small events at the local hall or some money games (big or small)
Yes, it costs money to travel and compete, it’s the same for everyone on this planet

Let the flagellation begin. Just when you think it can't get any uglier it does. Tyler looked like he forgot how to play pool in the last match.
The U.S. has two players who can play with the Euros and three others who are a full level below them. Even in a short match the difference in skill level shows up. The first doubles was the only good match of the day. In the one singles match Skyler looked like he was struggling on every turn at the table. Jayson meanwhile was on cruise control. The last doubles match was beyond awful. As far as I'm concerned that sealed the deal for this edition of the MC, over on Day One.
I thought Skyler played fine and it was an entertaining match. The final match I struggled to pay attention Tyler was playing so bad it felt like a formality which team was winning.
