List of players for U. S. Nationals

You really are a cranky old shit, aren't you?

So there is never a game other than straight rail that is played with the 4 balls is your contention?
Most likely a 'Korean Carom' game!

Not a 'US or European' Carom game!

I'll give You an example!

Ralf, walks into a PR, Non-Korean and ask for Carom balls to play straight-rail!

How many 'Balls' do You think the counterman will hand him?

You think '3'!

But, by You saying it's usually played with '4' balls, poor Ralf is stunned he got cheated out of '1' ball! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Korean 4-ball (사구, sagu) is a popular, fast-paced carom billiards game played on a pocketless table with two red balls, a white cue ball, and a yellow cue ball.

You Failed to make a distinction, (Now Your Cultural norm)!

3balls is usually 3 cushion and 4 balls is usually straight rail.

Do You see 'KOREAN' in Your explanation of 'Straight Rail'?

This is how a 'Small Person' (You) reacts when called out for 'Misinformation'!

You sure are adamant about our agreement.

I like Facts!

Especially about 3C!

Accept You got Corrected!

Or maybe it's the Corrector that You can't!

You were looking to 'Misinform' a Neophyte'!

The reason being, You're surrounded by that 'Cultural' element of the game!

BTW, so You understand the difference!

Korean 4-ball (사구, sagu) is a popular, fast-paced carom billiards game played on a pocketless table with two red balls, a white cue ball, and a yellow cue ball. Players score points by using their cue ball to hit both red balls, often employing "nurses" to gather balls and score high runs.

Straight rail, or straight-rail billiards, is a foundational carom billiards game played on a 10x5 ft pocketless table using three balls. Players score by hitting both other balls with their cue ball (a "carom") in a single stroke, aiming to accumulate points through control, rather than sinking balls. It is considered the most basic carom game and a prerequisite for complex variants like balkline.

Are Junior players being set up for a tough life?

two ways to make money at pool and some other games.

win tournaments and that can work until you no longer can.

gamble wisely and win enough to live off or get rich from. some can and some /most cant.
those that dont or cant, say you cant. but i know many many that have made much more than most others at any job.

in any case if you get money and then blow it stupidly you are doomed to be poor anyway. if you invest wisely then you will eventually be rich beyond your wildest dreams.

Best GOAT moment of all time

Watchin' Earl at CJ's run the 10 pack, + 1 more against Nick Mannino was special.
One more comment on that life moment.
I was going to a movie with Mike and Francinne Massey, the theater was next to the hotel the players were at.
When we walked in to get tickets, they cancelled the movie.
On our way back to the car, about midday, we ran into Earl headin' to the pool room putting stuff in his car trunk.
We chatted about the Million dollar/insured run ten racks.
Earls comments were enlightening on that subject but he felt it was not that easy, duh.
Anywho, was a neat time in my life, my dad passed unexpectidly that weekend and Ironically I won the cue raffle and left.
Thx CJ. :)
