Unless I'm misunderstanding, it sounds as if the seller is offering a full refund because you're dissatisfied (for whatever reason).

That's good.

I also don't think that it's unreasonable to wait until the cue has actually been received back by the seller for him to issue the actual refund.

Wow, now I am confused as to which "community" I even belong to since I have a 9' table at home and play mostly on 7' away from home and will not shy away from playing on 8' tables when given the opportunity.

My first international cue just arrived in England to a fellow AZB'er. He had a forearm from Prather shipped to me. After some back and forth on the design and it was off to the races. As a newer cue maker, I picked a slow horse, and it did take me a bit longer to make than I had anticipated. He was very patient with me and I appreciate that. I was doing a couple new things, and I really wanted this cue to shine. I have recently quit my Sunday side job so I can have another full day to be able to be in the shop.

Walmart stores may be better, but the Walmart online store has had issues - for example I believe there are reports of fake Taom chalk from Walmart.

At one of our state tournaments years ago the Valley tables all had brand new balls, they were shiny and beautiful right up until you broke and you would swear that you slug racked yourself. I was far from the only person aware of the unusual behavior of these balls. I can only assume that the rental place that supplied the Valley tables equipped them with cheap polyester balls, but they sure looked good. Its a shame that they played so awful. That kind of surprised me because I thought that owner of the tables was an avid pool player and had been and is on the board of directors of pool organizations.

If you walked into a pool room in the South when I was a kid I don't recall folks playing straight pool.

I don't think Earl had any background in Straight Pool.

I know Mike was a straight pool phenom.

Both Earl and Mike had outsized personalities.

I don't think Earl really played much One Pocket either.

Mike was a tough opponent at One Pocket.

Mine from the 90's is awesome as well. No issues whatsoever. I did recently send the original shaft to a member here to have it turned down to 12.5 and cleaned up a bit after 31 years.

I just don't get the whole balance thing. I have at least 6 regular playing cues and either I got extremely lucky and the balance point is the same on all of them or its something I just don't feel. Most players hold their cue towards the rear of the handle so wouldn't it make sense that a cue always feels forward weighted? Wouldn't you have to hold a cue near the balance point to feel any real difference in balance? I don't even know what any of my cues weigh, to me they all feel like a pool cue.

They are Ultraskin tips. She has taken on Cue Components out of Michigan as a distributer for her, and when you order from Walmart they ship from Cue Components. They sell for 9.95 each so that Cue components and Walmart both get a share. I don't know how much Cue Components pays for them but they evidently get a larger order which would explain why they took longer to get while she fulfiller her order for them..
