That sounds like a Predator or Aramith starting price...That’s a cheap price. I thought I paid around $50 two years ago
Hey you Philly guys, I’ll be in Philly 8/12&13. I’m tired of Mark kicking my a$$.Hope you're well bud but try looking at the table not up at the lights.
I think the lights do a great job illuminating the table.
I'm not too sure to be honest. But I'll tell ya this, Valley Black Cat model that is in absolute pristine condition. It looks like they never played on it. The absolute best part? I found it on FB for $350! I just happened to be the lucky one who msged the seller 1st. She told me she had over 100 people msg her after I did. What yr was the table mfg?
The player you referred to was named Jesse if memory serves me. Never heard the last name. He came to Seattle in the early seventies.Yes I do. One of my first road trips to he Bay area from LA was 1967. As I recall, one side was a mexican room and the other mostly a african american room? To me it must have been one pool room at some point in the past? Then it was separated? Old timers in LA told me that during WW11 and into the early 50's Oakland was full of action located in this very room. As the action dried up in Oakland it moved to the city to the Palace and Cochrans. I believe I played The Go Away Kid in your room, Johnny something can't remember his last name. Also played him at Tree's in Fillmore. The Doggie Diner fed many a pool player back then. Yummy
I have a purple logo one and it is definitely better. They no longer list the purple logo balls on their site. Only two are the magnetic and the Tournament magnetic with the green logo. Purple's are still around for sale but A'mith hasn't listed them for some time. No clue why. I've played both and couldn't tell them apart. Purple is said to be made from Duramith resin so it might stay clean a lil longer but that's about it. Most of the places around my area with Valley's all use the green logo and it plays/rolls fine.
I do it myself. Unfortunately the motor on my metal lathe is being rebuilt. Out of business for now. There are many capable builders out there. Just ask in your local poolroom. The other cue looks like zebrawood to me.Do you do it yourself? Or you have it done by a favorite maker of yours? What type of wood is my other one in the pictures I just posted?
Do you do it yourself? Or you have it done by a favorite maker of yours? What type of wood is my other one in the pictures I just posted? The Brazilian Rosewood itself is worth more than the cue. Consider having a local builder reconstruct the wood into a beautiful cue. I have converted several of these cues to something special.
The Brazilian Rosewood itself is worth more than the cue. Consider having a local builder reconstruct the wood into a beautiful cue. I have converted several of these cues to something special. What is "Braz"??? I'm not as knowledgeable as the people here. I've heard of lots of cues but never "Braz"? What does that mean? I know it's not valuable, I just love the mystery and challenge of finding more information.
