The whole point of the "goofy" frames/lenses is so you actually look through the lens while down on the shot, and preferably, through or close to the middle of the lens. The lens is cut from about a 3" circle, and the middle of that circle is the optical center. If you can see though the lens on a normal stylish pair, more power to you. I think most people can't, unless they cock their head back a lot like Dr Dave does.

Cues for Sale... Without Extensions

I use the 8” extension on at least 10% of my shots. I should just keep it on my cue but I don’t like the extra weight. I keep it in my pocket while playing knowing that if I set it down I’ll end up leaving it behind. I already lost a few cue claws by leaving them at the pool hall. I paid $80 for my predator extension a year ago, today it’s $199. You used to be able to get a good cue for $199. I’ll never buy another cue that does not have an extension.

one thing that impressed me was how quickly he saw the pattern and got down, prestroke, shoot. OB split the pocket, CB landed on the perfect side of the next ball. Repeat. Effortless. Little externally visible anguish at all over any shot. Truly confident and relaxed. At least that’s how it looked from the outside. Only he knows what going on in his head. But he sure makes it look easy.
