I thought an extension would be a total game changer for me. I had one made out of wood, and it feels like I strapped a boat anchor onto the back of my cue. I can't make the easiest ball. I look like I play pool on the spectrum or something. Then, I used Miller's feather weight Mezz extension, and I totally appreciate the value of space age material in extensions. For me, all future extensions need to be made of the NASA-grade martian material in the Mezz extension. I don't even bother using my extension half the time, and instead opt to look awkward with a bridge.

I sometimes wonder if having the crowd on your side, rooting for you, is a bonus in these events. Shane certainly was the darling of the Floride Open.

Check out Coach Johan and Classics crew on the rail, rooting for Shane, quiet by silently loud. At first, I thought they bought SVB lights, but then I realized it was their iPhones. How clever!

it was mark allen. he had probably lost 30 kg (pre-ozempic) and i booked him as soon as i heard that. won enough for a vacation trip for me and the lady. allen went on to win 3 or 4 titles after that, but today he's mostly known for the blunder on the black at the worlds..

I think is unimportant with non-progressive blended prescription lenses your local optometrist creates.

You can look thru the top, the middle or the bottom of the lenses and it all looks the same. You don’t have to
bend your neck, position your head or focus on looking through the middle of the lenses. Nope, you just put
on the glasses and look at the pool table and balls. Your have the same vision no matter where you look thru
the prescription lenses your optometrist will create that can be checked annually and pick a cool looking frame.

I know this works because I wore pool glasses for 12 years with a blended prescription my optometrist created.

The prescription was tweaked 3 times until eventually I underwent cataract surgery that eliminated any need for
eyeglasses. The entire time I wore my pool glasses ( Ray-Ban Frames) I could look sideways and my vision still
remained in focus. There wasn’t any need for trying to look thru the eyewear a certain way other than the lower
you are in your stance, the better your sight picture becomes. I think it’s ill advised not to use a local optometrist.

I know I'm just getting annoyed over the different in joint sizes

But I can do a little update. 8 years ago I traded an Adams carom cue with three shafts for a predator pool cue (something a regretted a lot) it turn out that he still had the cue left, so two days ago we made a new trade. I had a nice snooker cue that he wanted, and I got my old carom cue back

So now I got the right tools for job again.

him and kaci both. i made a good score in snooker after hearing that a player had lost a lot of weight. it's not the physical aspect as much as it shows determination, intention.

i like shane's chances at the USO. but the field will be tougher. more asian players, probably twice as many as in the florida open, fedor, the polish guys..

I agree.
I have a slip on extension for my old cue that I didn’t want to mess with. And fitted extensions to others.
But I would not buy a cue that doesn’t have an extension system.
I’m pretty good with the mechanical bridge and there are sessions that the extension doesn’t get out of the case, but it’s a great tool to have.
