No one here has that ability. It's all opinion and subjective.well i dont have the ability to test out 4 or 5 different kielwood shafts so im just asking for others experiences and opinions as another point of reference
I guess my point was that people enjoy the feel of wood, and how it does deflect the ball. Deflection is not a bad thing if you know how to use it?, and it also feels good to people. I used a friend's KW yesterday, it's sound was a bit different, but the biggest aspect that I liked about it was the aesthetics, how it 'can' compliment the color scheme.it's not carbon fiber. other than that, plainly feel and aesthetics. mind you I don't have any experience of it yet but based it on what people here talked about.

I see alot of players use cf for a while, only to go back to wood because they enjoy the feel better. I like both, personally, and maybe wood slightly more.
I can't say. It's one of Bob's (BDCues) shafts which are 6-piece pie spliced. I do not know what he does to the front end to make them such low deflection. Is his shaft hollow?
It's OK, that cloth needed cleaning anyway. Please clean thoroughly and send new pic when complete.Just as I suspectedI am a page and a half behind.

I love the little JIM REMPE logos. I may pick up one of these cues this year. I think i have ALL of the vintage ADAMS catalogs that came in a collection this year. If I find time, I'll go scan in everything and share.I just picked up a JR3 in trade to match my JR12. It didn't have a shaft, but luckily I had 3 spare. There's an original stock shaft, and a z2 that's been retapered a little thinner and had a modified ferrule. Those will be playing shafts for the King model, which also had a custom white delrin bumper to match the inlays. I have a Carbon no name shaft that I'll use on the Esquire. Might throw a break tip on it. They will keep each other company in the case now!
My first real cue i bought way back in college was a JR9 viscount. I loved that thing, but sold it for some dumb reason. I'm happy to have a pair now that I can actually use at a tournament. They look very complementary.
