Mike Sigel's American Billiard League

I had to double check because I thought you were joking!
This kind of blanket, overly broad prohibition on all legal action is too vague to be enforceable. The league would still be on the hook for gross negligence leading to injury, harassment, willful misconduct, discrimination, and so on.

It does tell you something (seriously worrying) about the people who think it's appropriate to insert such a clause into the documents members are expected to sign.

9-Ball vs. 10-Ball Breaking Formats

I dont think the hurdle is as high as you do.

Let's list some of the things that were simplified for the masses in the early 80s

Television shows went from threes company to Game of Thrones adding nuanced complexity..

3 minute interviews became 3 hour podcasts adding nuanced complexity.

Beer went from Budweiser and Miller Lite to hand crafted microbrews adding nuanced complexity..

Bourbon went fron Jim Beam to Pappy Van Winkle adding nuanced complexity

TV dinners became hello fresh again adding nuanced complexity.

Tastes have changed across a wide variety of topics and all trend towards nuanced complexity..

The 9-ball experiment aka treat it like boxing and pro wrestling with silly nicknames and 11 round bouts with a knockout punch(9 on the break)

It failed to break big, the game was broken 25 years ago,

To think that can be overcome with small tweaks is lunacy.

Let's join the worldwide trend towards nuanced complexity..
Even Boxing itself has been replaced by MMA with a variety of styles adding nuanced complexity..

Even the sport we tried to mimic moved on..

Pool Ball Collecting.

Pretty sure those are Hyatt Romanique 1. Likely the most rare and sought after set in the billiard world. Rumor has it from top collectors that about 6 are known to exist intact.
Those aren't the Romanic 1's. The number on the striped balls is in the center of the white stripe on those. The numbers here are in the center of the colored portion. The top row looks similar to Romanic 1's though. The second Pic is the set on the shelf. Just not sure who made them.

New Olhausen tournament model..................

Very informative post. No attempt to de-rail the thread whatsoever. Brilliant contribution.
Thanks - your post is quite informative as well- and very contributory to the site, I might add. I don't care for Olhausen tables- that was the point- and I think that I have made enough contributions to this site that some here may be interested in my future intentions- which include a possible home table again- but definitely not an Olhausen- sorry to disturb you- just block me , please!
