Anniversary values

I think the biggest issue with selling an Anniversary, is the market is relatively small. The vast majority of players I know have no idea what an Anniversary or Centennial is, and as a result would pay no more for one than the cost of an average used furniture table. One has to specifically be looking for one, most likely be willing to haul it hundreds of miles, and understand you may still be a few grand short if you want to restore it. Knowing that, when I was looking a few years back, I would have gone 4K for one of these based on what little I can see. They appear to be intact, complete, unmolested examples, with wood vs Formica rails.

Richard black

Jay, I have an add for a historic Richard Black cue.in a forum here at AZ. I bought it from Dorthy Wise, a five-time women's national champion in the 1970's and a pool Hall of Famer. Richard built the cue in1976. He has confirmed it is his build in an email to me. It os unsigned. I am willing to take bids, but an acceptable bid would be on the $3500 area. I wish you luck finding the right cue. It is an honor to play with a Richard Black cue.

Rule question Towel cloth in the pocket ?

In the finals of the 2000 US Open between Takeshi Okamura and Earl Strickland, Okamura places a towel on the rail/pockets several times to block the glare from the lights.

At 17:47, he does it for the first time. At 59:31, he does it again and the ref comes over to discuss and deems it legal.

Him missing the second one made it look like a shark by committee.

Good players who do not look very good, while at the pool table, but still consistently run out.

That alone is enough to make me want to block you lol go shoot a gun side arm and see how that works out for you. No way that should be taught. 😂
Here's that gun fallacy again. Gun - remain motionless, squeeze trigger. The analogy should be club or some other swung weapon.
But seriously, AFAIC, Keith Mcready acquitted that side arm by a landslide.
