There is also TAOM V10 Snooker chalk that a slightly different color. Of all places, Walmart carried it and I bought 4 pieces for $11 each. Comes on its own plastic case and 3 of my pals bought the chalk from me. We all carry it as a backup in our pool cases. It seems to have a softer grit, IMO but it’s only for backup, along with my favorite chalk due to its cube shape, Pagulayan. Oval chalk is just a horrible design but V10 lasts so long I haven’t had to use a different
piece of chalk for 18 months. Gosh, what a bargain if and when you sparingly brush apply TAOM chalk to your cue tip.

I think bank 8 or last pocket 8 ball games alter the flow of the game (compared to normal 8 ball rules) with an attempt to balance out mismatched players. I would rather play an adjusted race with normal 8 ball rules.

Anyone know what the race is today? I'm assuming this is a 2 day match?

I'm staying optimistic but tomorrow, the men's event, with one round only, will not feature any of the sixteen players that have already qualified for Stage 2, meaning many of pool's biggest headliners have the day off. Still, by Thursday, this event should start heating up, and I think it will wow us when the late rounds arrive.

Like so many, I am greatly enjoying the mixed doubles. Only the old fogies among us will recall that an attempt was made in 1993 to arrange things so that the pro men and pro women would often share events and venues, but it just didn't happen. Watching the mixed doubles makes me think of what might have been back then.

The best is yet to come in Saigon. Let's enjoy it to the max.

I watched some of the mixed doubles. In this format the obvious difference in ability between the best women and best men is very apparent. Not even close! The men play like the 800 shooters they are and the women often look like 600 speed, with easy misses and failed safeties.
