Tascarella Cue questions...for owners and previous owners...

My opinion is that you are paying a lot for a name.
If you are a collector, it's worth it.
If it's just for playing there are a ton of great production cues for under $2000.
And a lot of customs from lessor known makers for $2000 or less.

This.

I am beyond thrilled with a custom build I "recently" had done. Price was FAR below what you're looking to spend on a Tasc.

That said...I WILL own a Tasc, at some point. That's my white whale cue.

Mechanical Bridge Designs

the absolute best bridge design IMO
just-a-bridge

I rate this bridge a D…..the fitting of the bridge to a cue is not tight….the cheesy cotton lining frays and peels away and if the quality was better, it would be a terrific design but it’s very cheaply made & the quality is a F….it is retired and in my closet.

The ‘Scorpion’ stings again at Stop #5 on the Rack Race in Augusta, GA

The “Scorpion” (Johnny Archer) came to the tables at Rack & Grill II in Augusta, GA this past weekend (Sat., March 7) with the highest FargoRate (751) in a 34-entrant field. He was one of only two with a rate in the ‘700’s. Archer went undefeated and claimed title to Stop #5 on the 4th Annual Rack Race, his fifth title in the series since 2024, when he won three in a row at Stops #12, #13 and #14. His sole ‘700’ companion in the event, Paul Song (721), was defeated in the opening round of play, and in the […]

Tascarella Cue questions...for owners and previous owners...

I agree. It’s worth it if it means enough to you. My decision was to forgo the new Tascarella and search for a good used example to play first. If I love it, I’ll go ahead and order a custom.
Smart decision. Try a Hoppe and take the bolt out, which creates some nice resonance. Traditional ones are nice too, but the Hoppes hit really nice.

EUROPEAN OPEN 2026, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, March 10-15

6- Ko Ping Chung - Ko Pin Yi - Jayson Shaw - Max Lechner

Wow, awesome list. Also, it's a reminder that the WNT is still fairly new.

Favorite/easiest diamond banking systems.

Visualize it. I'd put my kicking ability up against anyone the same overall speed as me. I don't use any diamond systems.
It's not easy. I can visualize lots of banks now, even a lot of kicks, because I practice them.

But learning a diamond system first taught me how to regularly succeed in making banks and kicks. It was like giving me a alphabet to make words. Or a solid foundation to build a banking and kicking game.

I just spent the whole last month practicing kicking, at least an hour a day. That's it. I learned every system there is and practiced them all. Now I am trying to do it by feel. One drill I do is throw a single ball on the table and practice 1-, 2- and 3-rail kicks by "feel."

This week, I just started on banking. I am already a very good banker, but I will spend the next month just practicing banks. I already know all the systems. So I will work on both doing it by numbers and doing it by feel.
i agree with @jbart65
the systems speed up the learning curve initially(or forever)
@iusedtoberich i dont know how long you have been playing but you are over 600 fargo if i recall
someone who is way less experienced than you lets say an apa 5 who can get close to hitting the cueball where they want to
who could do math easily and remember the formulas
would give you a tough time in a kicking contest as long as the kicks were ones they knew the formula for (and how to adjust)
