Can’t get a straight, accurate answer from anyone. What is the story of this cue? Mispelled Mizerak (MiSerak)

First I just wanted it ID’d then the misspelling part. All everyone points out is it’s an Adam’s. Okay great.
Then I’ll get “well it just have been mass produced”. Okay that’s fine too but show me another one. Or find me another discussion anywhere about it. Give me something to go off of, not what might have happened.

IF, it is a one off some how, (or short production run) it’s from at least 30 something years ago and they aren’t popping up all over. Therefore, there must be some value to it collecting wise…. Otherwise we’d see em all over EBay and you wonderfully well versed experts here that have been doing this forever would have plenty to say about it but that’s hasn’t been the case. So yes I’m intrigued. Even if it’s a mass production error at least we can put it to bed….. thoughts ??

Thanks (in advance for anything meaningful anyone can contribute)
Why do I keep thinking that you feel or hope it is worth a lot of money? What did you pay for it? What do you think it is worth?

Bring Your Own Pool Balls - BYOPB?

I was thinking of taking my balls to the poolhall because they go in the pockets on my table lol. I figured out why I miss cut shots at the poolhall and it's definately not me. I asked what they use in the machine and the girl said they used to buy the Aramith cleaner and now they make their own. The balls are super slippery and the CB seems to glance off the OB. I've seen other guys missing the same shots over and over
For a lot of players, it doesn't make any real difference to them how slippery the balls are. They have far larger problems with their game than a few degrees of throw missing on some shots. For them it is far more important that the balls be beautiful and shiny, and wax helps with that. Wax can also help the ball slide into the pocket.

I recently tried to show someone the throw of a frozen combination. It barely threw at all. The pool room must be waxers.

A major problem with waxing the balls is that it can wear off during a session. That means that the throw is changing all the time. The bank angles are changing too. I suppose a good way to screw up a road player is to bring out a set of waxed balls. Or only wax the odd ones. :devilish: 💰

Aramith cleaner is designed to not leave a residue on the balls, but I always rinse the balls with water after cleaning them, just in case. Dr. Dave has a video on what different surface treatments do to the balls. The Aramith cleaner gave the most consistent throw, as I recall.

Tony Chohan thoughts on money matches

i won't even attempt to filter out what's bravado and woofing. between the four rails he's a genius and very fun to watch, that's enough for me

I seen this shot that he did that really blew my mind. He kicked the cue ball into a short rail, and then the cue ball banked the object ball 2 rails into his pocket. It was either that, or he 2 rail kicked into a ball, and banked that ball cross corner, all in the same shot. I forget which it was, but it was incredible, I thought.

How Do You Get Out Here?

I didn't read the other replies. These are my two choices.

I'd have to be at the table to see if the reverse option is laying good. I personally play this shot a lot and like it.

This choice is easier to execute but leaves you a bit long on the 9.

Thinking you might need 760 for A.
B looks very good and I might do that instead of what I suggested.

Meucci fans... Archives are back!!

OMG. That's insane! Data loss I'd gut wrenching.

20 years ago when I was VPIT and network sysadmin we almost lost all the data for a title and mortgage company, including offsite backups. This was in spite of multiple redundancies on site and off site. A firmware error in the SCSI mirrors corrupted huge blocks of data.

We discovered it on Friday evening and worked until Monday morning to rebuild the databases. It worked. We were yp and running by 9am Minday. It was as intense as some of the most hair-raising surgery I had been involved with. Tens of millions of dollars were at stake.

I have a few images from the Joss archive. Wish I had saved them all.

Very off topic, and I understand that you probably do not even have the time to watch TV shows, but there is this great show called, Halt and Catch Fire, about computers in the 80's.

Anyways, your post reminded me of this part in the series where this Programmer, who wrote Code, makes a huge error, and loses all of the Code that she worked on for weeks, and she did not do a back up of any of it, lol. Or, she somehow fried all of her back ups. Anyways, her job was to write the code for a new computer that was going to compete with the IBM.
