Right now thinking of Big Tam I remember he got a shop in Clydebank next to St Eunan's school so this was when my dear lady wife shot the moon to live with her lover . I met big Tam and he asked how comes your kids come into my shop wearing St Eunan's uniforms so I had to say Tam she left and took the kids to live with her lover

Big Tam had his ways and faults , he could push you to you limits and I for one knew that but I also knew that Big Tam pushed you to the limits to see what your limits were and if you could surpass them .

Big Tam .
I'm trying to find the word's to type to describe Big Tam and what he meant to me but on the news of his passing I'm just too shocked and stunned at the moment but Big Tam wouldn't want me to feel this way .

Humour .
My sense of humour has got me through many a bad time , wife left , had to get a divorce , parents passed away had to go to the funerals I didn't want to go to . Friends passed away before you get the chance to say goodbye etc so as I'm posting I'm asking you whoever reads to always take care of family and friends because who knows if we will ever see them again !

It's hard to believe how one night your Googling up directions to pay an old friend you haven't seen for years but the next night you find out that he has passed away . Take care of your family and friends !

i never knew Big Tam was a music fan until that time he picked me and and his mechanic friend up one night so we went to his place and Big Tam was telling us . right so the dog has chewed the car seats but i don't give a **** and I feed the dog on the best butcher meat steaks , right so here we go . I last seen Big Tam's black labrador dog as a pup but he bought it the best of meat and that night I found out Big Tam also had a huge music collection so that night me and Jim and Jim was well over 6 feet tall went to Big Tam's place and his black dog was so huge it was scary but he fed it on the best food and it jumped up on Jim who I said was over 6 foot tall and it jumped up and out two paws over Jim's shoulders and I just wanted out of that place and go home that dog was huge lol !

He bought a black labrador dog , time had passed and he needed the dog to protect his property so Big Tam would pick us up for the Pool and this time I got in the car and the seats were wrecked so I said Tam WTF has happened to your car . So Big Tam had been away from the Pool for while , came back and ran us to the Pool venues . Oh that , you talking about my car seats getting chewed up ? Right then come down to my house , oh and by the way I've got a dog nowadays !

Right now I am hurting at the loss of a good friend called Big Tam and do you know what , thinking back maybe I just realised how much of a good friend he was but now he has passed away and I'm so sad .

Willie Thorne did an exhibition at The Crucible here in Clydebank in the early 1990's in the old Cinema so Big Tam said he was buying tickets and taking the wife and who want's to go so I said I will go so bought tickets for me and the ex wife but of course the wife's were not interested but I had bust an ankle and didn't think I'd make the stairs but the tickets got shared out and we all went and a good time was had !

I met him in William Hill Bookies up the Hardgate and I'm studying form on the greyhound card and in walk Big Tam and said right so who do you think wins the next race so I picked and the next thing big Tam is writing out numbers on a betting slip & tears it up and puts it in his hands writing trap number and said right I will show you how to pick winners . pick a piece of paper from my hand and I picked T6 , it was the outsider in the betting and the next thing Big Tam's writing out T6 to win £5 and I'm saying Tam it's no chance and I'm getting ready to run out the door but T6 won ! Big Tam said see , no point in studying and you better show up at the Pool tonight and I will buy you a few beers lol !

He always worked , never smoked and only drank an occasional Lager because he was a driver so even when he packed in the Glenhead Social Club Pool Team I would meet him at various places as he always worked , joiner by trade , worked as a window blind fitter and taxi driver so I could meet him in all sorts of places .

I lost a very good friend and I cant believe how life can pass so quickly , one night i'm googlind directions for a visit but the next night I found out Big Tam passed way , so sad it's not true .

The 1994/95 season was only possible due to Big Tam , he was a good man with a big honest heart but he knew how to push your buttons so if you never knew Big Tam you'd think WTF is he but he knew how to push my buttons and take my word for it I was flying , you'd want to watch the video's but it wasn't around at that time but the memories stay . I was flying so high it was playing Chess on a UK 8 Ball Pool Table .

Somehow it was decided by Big Tam that I was to play for the team first and I said you gotta be joking mate , I gotta feed the four kids , put them to bed an hope a babysitter appears but Big Tam said your on first . I was so stressed up something clicked and I could play the rules , the Hendry O'Sullivan , Trump . Williams etc Snooker brain kicked in and I could play to a high level , setting traps , walking away from the Pool Table knowing that no matter what shot mt opponent played next I was clearing up . Unfortunately the stress of bringing up a family of 4 with a wife who was at it caught up and took over but believe me I was flying that season and it was Big Tam who made it happen !

When the Glenhead Social Club Pool Team was falling apart and Big Tam in put himself up for Captain which meant he had to attend monthly meetings or get a £5 fine so we agreed and the 1994/95 season we had a Pool Team so good even if we were short of players nd a minus went against the team sheet we could still win !

Sports fan , Billiards player same a myself who liked a flutter on the sports so we played Pool for the Glenhead Social Club and Big Tam would come and go and leave the team and rejoin so he heard the team was struggling for players etc so Big Tam returned and called a meeting and said right lads , Team Captain Vote and I will run you's to the away venues and I'm driving so whoever wants the free pint at away matches can buy me a can of coke because I'm driving .
