The Main Street .
I live right next to the Main street and it's a very busy road , heavy flow of traffic constantly and you just get used to the emergency services sirens . At times there was no chance of crossing the road , many accidents over the years including when my eldest son got knocked down so they put up traffic lights , had to be done , motorists thinking they were F1 drivers or Nascar drivers if you prefer . The last time it was this quiet was when the Main Street got resurfaced and all the road was blocked off so you could cross the road without using traffic lights but nobody had a clue as to where the bus services got re routed so long walks were back in . It's so quiet , next to no traffic , the odd emergency service siren .
Coronavirus: The newly jobless struggle to claim benefits :

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-52028644

This story goes when Dad passed away there's a funeral expenses grant you can claim so I'm on the telephone before 8am until 1pm , getting passed from one section to the next and put on hold , just asking for the forms . The forms came through but I found out I was not entitled to any help so why did they not tell me that in the first place ?

There's people who no fault of their own lost their jobs and having to deal with the system and I heard the local job centre shut down due to the Corona Virus so I have a good idea what those people will be going through .

Fines .
New laws are being rushed in on Thursday so down south the cops can stop and fine you thirty pounds if your outside say they say, gathering in a crowd or being outside more than once a day , i thought I was living in Scotland .

Is this Nazi Germany ?
The Main Street .
Next to no traffic on the road and no one to be seen but my eldest daughter message me and it's dad , got some food if you want it so I said yeah , I will meet you at 8.30pm at the phone box next to the Chemist , I shall be wearing a ski hat , scarf and gloves walking Sasha with my bag . We met for the pick up , to an onlooker or passer by it must've looked like a drug deal but no it was food .

She makes a good pot of soup so I ate that and the lasagne is in the oven , life in Scotland eh 1

Typing it out was like Nazi Germany war time .
Radio .
As grim as it may sound I had a small battery radio for entertainment through the week and when my four children arrived at weekends all the electrics switched on , TV's , computer games etc . I got cross eyed checking the meters to see how much cash was left . One time breaking out of the depression I looked at the small battery radio on the mantlepiece and laughed , this reminds me of when I was a kid and sneaking Dad's radio into the room to listen to Muhammed Ali Boxing fights , this ain't so bad after all I thought , I can cope with this .

Coronavirus: ‘How is £94 a week going to pay anyone’s bills?’ :

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-52005581

Back in the day Dad said Gerald if you can't get by on £10 a day you've got problems . I said Dad , haven't you just listened to me , I just got a Welfare letter to say I've got to live on £59,60 a week to run a 4apt house that I never applied for (my ex-wife had connections in the system.) so how am I going to afford that plus access visits for my four children so £10 a day X 7 days a week = £70 and if I'm on £59.60 a week , how am I meant to get by ?

Twenty five years later I'm still here but now you know why I had to put the cue to the side and say adios to the pubs and clubs but I only got by with the help of my family .
