What a character he was , always in the Glenhead Social Club/Hibs day or night sitting near the pool table playing/holding the table or just watching games being played . Eddie was from Falkirk , they had a Pool League and he played for their team but travelled through to Duntocher for a family funeral at the Haye family who were on the Glenhead Social Club Committee and Geordiw was on Ground staff duty and once in they just couldn't get rid of Eddy S . He was a player alright moderate and beatable when sober but give that man a few beers he commanded the table for all hours of the day and night .

I was underage but desperate for something new and at the swing doors I thought what is on the other side and what if people say he's underage ? I will say I'm Raymond my older adopted brother and I opened the swing doors and the first thing that hit me was the smoke and it was too late , half the street were in there boozing away , they all knew me , standing there in my Mod Militia Boating Blazer , white shirt , inch wide black tie with The Specials logo , sta press or denims , can't remember but wearing black and white Spatz shoes and it's here we go .

Knocking in high breaks for fun on the 6x3 Snooker table and it's Dad has The Malting , West End Bar , O'Donnell's or The Duntiglennan Bar got a full size Snooker table ? Oh , what makes you ask that said Dad , oh I just want to know . No maybe Pool Tables , full size Snooker tables? You need to ask somebody else said Dad , the Pubs here aren't big enough .

Duntocher - Where I live .
I'm not a Duntocherite , I was born in the next village called Hardgate so if anything I'm a Hardgatonian , lol ! The Duntocher village elders used to tell me when I was growing up that this place stopped being a village in the 1960's when George Wimpy builders bought up farmers land to build houses for the banks and strangers bought into this place and the days of leaving your front door and windows ended .

Just like when the BBC banned The Sex Pistols - God Save The Queen from TV and Radio and it went to Number One in the Charts it made sales go through the roof I liked Frankie , they were different so I bought into them and my sister liked them so we had a good few Frankie vinyls between us lol !

The old St Eunanas Primary , demolished due to asbestos contamination to be a raised beds community garden . Big Tams Newsagent , demolished and rebuilt The Clydebank District Council Offices demolished and an overgrown wasteland . The Doublet Bar , Faifley , demolished for housing . The Cinema/Bingo Hall that became The Crucible Snooker Hall an iconic Art Deco building , demolished for housing and I could go on but I much preferred the old Clydebank compared to nowadays . St'Columba's High School got demolished and they built the new St Eunans Primary School there and St Columba's became St Peter The Apostle High School built nearby . The old shop across from the old High School , demolished for houses .

The Steedman brothers sold out Clydebank Fc and sold Kilbowie Park to the Shopping Centre and pretty soon Clydebank Fc slipped down the football Leagues until they finally went out of business and folded . Clydebank Collage got demolished and they built a housing estate that looks like it was made from Lego Bricks and the Collage relocated to the Clydeside Riverbank and isn't easy to get to . St'Columba's High School got demolished and they built the new St Eunans Primary School there and St Columba's became St Peter The Apostle High School built nearby . The old shop across from the old High School , demolished for houses .

Clydebank . Then and now - 1
Growing up here you couldn't wait to leave school , all the shops on Kilbowie Road had tenement flats above and there was a Snooker Hall just across the road from Singers Train Station and I always thought I can't wait until I'm old enougt to go there for a game but it all got demolished to make way for the new Shopping Centre in the mid to late 1970's . At St Columba's High School we all thought we were leaving school for a job at Singers Sewing Machine Factory but PM Margaret Thatcher got in , 1979 and it got shut down and demolished for a Business Park and the Shipyards shed thousands of jobs so that idea was gone .

Round about this time of night I switch TV channels to Skynews to see what's happening around the world and if this Corona Virus isn't w global pandemic I don't know what a pandemic is so stay safe folks !

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon suggested as from Monday all events with an audience of 500 people attending may be banned so that gives the go ahead to the Rangers V Celtic football match on Sunday at Noon kick off . There was maybe 50,000 fans at tonight's match :

PM Boris 'Bonkers' Johnson's previous advise was to wash our hands whilst singing the Happy Birthday song then dry our hands . Today there was a COBRA government meeting and he said we've to prepare for losing loved ones . BBC1 Question Time is just starting I usually play spot the Tory plant in the audience but best tune in to hear if there's any advice on the Corona Virus .
