Remember growing up and you or your mates not ready to go out so as the wait happens you ask is it alright if I shuffle through your music collection ? Aye , sure , help yourself so Big Tam had a collection , mostly late 1960, early 1970's rock music so this time in the car home from the Pool this song came on and I said to Big Tam , I never knew you liked him , I bought the album . I never said I liked him , I like this song he said .

Mum and Dad had a radiogram , usually up full volume and you could hear it every end of the street , could be embarrassing and I got the gig from Mum and Dad to turn up or put down the volume , really funny . Do remember growing up and your mates weren't ready so it would be put the music on , could be a radiogram , tape recorder , simple radio , turntable or a HIFI but nowadays it's You Tube or so it seems .

Computers and keyboards , I never had a clue , I used to look at the keyboard thinking what's thia all about but then I found AzBilliards and self learnt how to use the keyboard , there is information to supply but I haven't what all the buttons do .

If he was here now he would say why are you sitting at that computer , you should be out earning , turning a coin and my reply would be Tam , I'm fed up being flat broke skint , i can't do it anymore but I can sit here at the computer gathering information and passing it on and I'm quite happy with that . Well don't look at me for anymore favours Big Tam would say .

Struggling for money , is that why you never showed up for the Pool Big Tam said , aye , flat broke skint I said , I meet people , i will get you a job and it a guy in Old Kilpatrick and he needs some gardening work so I agreed . This guy I was working for was blind , right so I turned up , did the job , guy said before I pay you , take your socks and shoes off and come into my kitchen , I thought WTF , must be an ID footprint parade so I had to agree to get the money to go to Pool and once there , Big Tam asked if I done the job so I told him what happened , the blind guy wanted to smell the roses before I planted them and make me walk in his kitchen with no socks or shoes on . Aye but did you get paid Big Tam laughed , aye , wouldn't be here tonight would I !

It was falling apart , people lose jobs and have no money and some people lose interest a pack it in so it's coming to the push and shove and it didn't look like there was going to be a team anymore . Big Tam walks in and it's how are you's doing what is happening with the Pool Team ? The next thing a meeting is called and Big Tam said right who want's to be the Captain so I said i will do it (I was on welfare and being team Captain included going to meetings and if you never turned up it was a team fine of £5) . Thinking back even though I put my hand up and offered to be team Captain there was no way I could have done it but the thought was nice lol ! so it was agreed that Big Tam would be team Captain and the rest is history .

Twenty Five Years .
It seems like a long time but do you know how many seconds it took me to type that out ? Not many ! So I said to my daughter you need to help me out here , Big Tam has passed so do I buy a card and where would I send it because I lost touch with Big Tam 25 years ago , sure we met since but only on a handful of occasions . So my daughter sent me the funeral arrangements and Big Tam will be laid to rest on Thursday this week . I've never been to St Eunans Chapel but I do know where we all end up .
