this sounds to me like a good reason to go to vegas.
Damm, that was convincing..........you sold me. Can we negotiate it down to me giving you 8 games, me taking Darren of course?
8 games? man ktown you want the WORLD. I tell you what, ill take dennis and 8 games, and if I lose, which im sure I will, you gotta give me the break, ball in hand, and the last 6 on the bartable. There is a thread around here somewhere about you beating Dennis and darren in a game of cutthroat.
That is a bet but if I win.............you gotta shave the 'stache.
This should be a cracking match, both fantastic seasoned money players. I have been backing Darren in money games for 10 years now and he does not lose many. Always prepared to play and has crossed swords with many of the best.
Dennis is also a great and proven money player, can't wait for this one!!!
Crossing swords - you need to learn to stay in the front while your buddy handles the back. I think I would puke if I ever crossed swords with another guy.
:withstupid::scratchhead:I just did a google image search on crossing swords, and I didnt like it:frown:

Unlike most in this thread I don't have a clue who I really like in this matchup.
The field that Darren won the World 10-ball championship in was unreal, he beat Wu Chia Ching in the finals who I would bet on if he played Dennis Hatch in a match like this. Dennis Orcollo was in the event, as was Yang Chin Shun, and I will tell you that either of those guys are getting my side action against Dennis Hatch. SVB played in it as well and I would have to think he is the favorite in a long 10-ball match against Dennis Hatch.
That said those are tournaments, and Dennis Hatch is for sure a dead solid gambler.
The question I have to ask is
"Does Dennis Hatch play quite abit lower then his top speed in tournaments?"
Because I have never seen him playing to the level of Yang or Orcollo in their huge money match, and both of those guys pull that game out in world championship tournaments as well. Darren has the speed to go with the top players in the world in 10-ball as he proved in winning the Worlds, does Hatch play at that level for the cash? Because I have not seen him play that level in a tournament and he thus must really amp his game up for the cash compared to what he does in tournaments if he is going to suddenly play at that level. I am talking starting to put together 5 packs of 10 ball, because for the top in the world in a race to 100 you have to expect that kind of speed.
Not sure, in all reality I probably take Yang, Wu, Orcollo, and others over Darren as well in a match like this. But given he won such a huge event with a field like that, comprising hundreds of winning games of 10-ball all against world class players, I cannot really see him as much of an underdog against those guys.
Either Darren is going to have to shoot worse then his World Championship winning level of 10-ball or Dennis is going to have to shoot good enough that he could actually win an event like that with that field. That is kind of the way that it stands and it is by no means cut and dry. If Dennis is that good then he should be even money with SVB and it should be in question who is the best money player in the USA atm, which often times seems to get defaulted to SVB.
Dennis Orcollo did not play in the world ten ball!!!
Dennis Orcollo did not play in the world ten ball!!!
Tar this needs to be streamed...Also you need to use one of those cameras they use in football over the fields on the cable...:grin-square: kinda like a table cam for the action:thumbup:
