JW Plain Jane Player for Sale

Can I try?

I can do you one better. I took a shaft in to have the ferrule replaced at a pool hall with a lathe and asked how he'd do it. He said he'd remove the ferrule and replace it. I said fine. Then I discovered his idea of removal was to saw off the ferrule and grind down the shaft and put on a new one. He couldn't understand why I was upset to lose only an inch of the shaft.......

Tidd,

I took a Manzino that had four shafts in for a ferrule replacement. The ferrule that cracked was Ivory on a custom predator that Bob matched to the cue.

This kind gentleman (with me watching) proceeds to cut the ferrule off, then say "I'll be darn, this thing is hollow" look at how far this screwdriver will go down the inside of this shaft.

I packed the other three shafts up, and got them re-tipped elsewhere!

And bump,

I know the Brass Tap where the Crawman?

So I sent you the PM asking if the shafts turned straight on a lathe, since you characterized them as having a "taper roll" of about the thickness of 2 credit cards.

<EDITED> Please respond.
Thanks!

wow I can not believe some one has not picked this up
I will say that cue plays plays well above its asking price I know because I have one exactly like it its a steal at that price I was offerd 650 at VF three years ago and was told the retail price was between 800 - 1000 then I know the market is down so someone is going to get a good collector and player cheap IMHO

How about $500 shipped to either Scot at Proficient or Ryan at Muellers for a refinish?

I will do either paypal or check upon the arrival to either.
