Hello guys, great forum, been browsing it a few days now.
I'm gonna get myself a new playing cue but I don't have enough experience with cues, so I wanted to ask a few things. I narrowed it to a few choices wich are in my price range /around $220/:
Lucasi butt + Tiger X 30'
Lucasi butt + 314 pre cat
Joss or Pechauer JP series
What bothers me on the Tiger X is its taper, i use a long open bridge and i prefer a more conical taper.. How does this shaft compare to the other ones in therms of that? Will it climb on my bridge at the point where the taper ends? Atm i play with a Cuetec SST and i hate the taper..
I prefer a solid hit, i read somewhere that the old 314 is more of a solid hitter than the new series.. What do you think about that?
Does a layered tip make a significant difference in the gameplay, does anyone prefer a good old Triangle or Le pro tip?
Anyways, which of these cues whould you prefer yourself? I come from a place where pool is not very popular, so i got no friends to ask for tips. Any help will be much appriciated.
Cheers.
