Perfect Aim Video and Lesson Phoenix

Of course I know McCune. I never said I didn't. I know every player in the state just like minn. I never worked with McCune at Charter. I gave him a lesson about 4 months ago. The first I saw has rating was Sunday. That's after he had played in some tournaments. I had no part of this fiasco at all. Just knowing him does not make me a part of it. The people that know me know better. Geno...............

Gene knows how well Mccune plays. They are from the same area and worked at Charter communications together.

yeah gene, i would love to hear this since you told me you didnt know him at all?

Jason, I didn't tell you that. Maybe McCune said he didn't know me. But I don't need to lie to noone. That's not who I am. Again, talk to someone that really knows me and you would think twice about saying stuff like that. Geno

Ok let's get back on track. This tread got hijacked for a bit there, should have started another thread for this Mike guy.
I'll be ordering my DVD soon, still haven't timed it right with the wife.;) Money is a delicate matter at times ya know. Good luck to ya in Colorado Geno.

Hey Gene,

You should take a close up pic of your Perfect Aim DVD and use it as an avatar. Might help you sell a few.

I know I'm in the mega minority here but....

BFD if someone sandbagged a tourney or two and robbed an 8-and-under tourney. You guys are acting like that's unheard of and it's disgusting. That happens every single day in leagues (on almost every team) and every single handicap tournament on earth. If there's a handicap system associated with a tournament, mark my words a local player plays WAY above his/her rating as well - whether they win it or not.

If someone doesn't like sandbagging when it comes to $$$$ and handicaps, focus your efforts and attention on open events - that'll solve that.

All you can do is ban the guy - but don't make a big deal of it. That guy is one of many, I'm sure--- and like Clinton getting head from Monica... "he just got caught." Ban him and move on.

Hey Spidey,

What about your review of the video?

Jack

I should have it posted within a day or so. I'm spending quite a while playing with the info. I don't wanna watch the video and post a review minutes later. I don't think that'd be fair to Gene or those waiting for a decent opinion.

The only thing I'll say at this point is perfect aim isn't an aiming system - rather, it's a sighting/perception-correction method. I'm working on the video and review and will have something up very soon.

Dave

Hello Dave:
Will you really give an honest opinion as to what this aiming system is really like being that you got this for free? Like you saying in the following quote I'll sell it better than you.

Quoting you
I'm pretty knowledgeable with nearly every aiming system in the world. Here's an idea - send me a DVD and I will write a very in-depth review. If your info is what you say it is... it will sell you quite a few DVDs because I'll sell it better than you. If it's not or if it's similar to another system, people would end up finding out regardless.

Send me a PM if you're interested. There are a lot of people, me included, who aren't going to pay that kind of money for an aiming DVD unless one of a number of people on here glow about it.

the rest of the story

The deal I read earlier is that Dave pays for the DVD just like anybody else if he likes it and it is new material for him. If he doesn't like it or it doesn't introduce new info to him he doesn't pay.

If this is correct Dave is actually money ahead to bash the DVD. He gets the info free and a jump on the competition that reads his review.

While many people in this forum have experienced questionable tactics by others in our great sport, I believe Dr. Dave's character is beyond reproach. He has given his information away to anyone wanting to download it. To think that he would use this for a competitive advantage is more of a reflection of your character.

Back on track...

I was fortunate enough to have Gene come over to my house for a 'Perfect Aim' lesson. Prior to the lesson I felt
like I was no longer improving, no matter how much I would practice. There were certain shots, such as long severe cut shots that were a 50/50 proposition
for me.... so most of the time I would just aim to over cut the shot and hope for the best.

After spending a couple hours working on the Perfect Aim, I am much more confident in making these sever cut shots. (and all other shots including banks)
With the confidence of knowing I am dialed into the shot, it gives me the ability to make nearly 90 degree cuts without having
to hit the shot 100 miles an hour - meaning I have more options opened to me for shape.

Without a doubt it was well worth the cost of the lessons and the dvd. My only regret is I did not meet Gene 10 years ago!!

Thanks Carlos for the great testimonial and thank you for inviting me into your home for the lesson. I got to share a few moment with your family and that is what life is all about. Everyone really made me feel right at home. Your oldest son was pretty studious and I think he will be a great player some day. I could just feel that. He definitely has a great teacher I can see with pool but also I can see your children also have 2 great teachers in life.
All you needed was the fine tuning. And maybe a few extra clubs in your bag. Thanks again Geno..............

Wrong Dave. Spidey is reviewing the Perfect Aim DVD, I'm not sure if Dr. Dave is or not.

Hi there, Dave seems like a straight up guy. In fact he is the only person that I have sent a dvd to without him paying up front. After talking to him I just knew he is very knowledgable and I was absolutely not afraid to see his honest opinion. Dave is also sharing some info with me and I really appreciate that. I am always trying to make things better for my own game. Many players don't know this but in alot of areas like Phoenix there are probably 25 players that are capable of playing on a pro tour. Once they get to a certain level any little thing they can learn even though it seems small is huge. Dave is one of those people that really cares about pool and about people. He's kind of looking out for everyone also. I know now that his work over the years has helped many get to a higher level. And no matter what, we always seem to try to improve this game we love and play called pool. I've only been doing full time now what I know Dave has been doing for a long time. And anytime you can work with someone and help them increase their game a little bit it is so gratifying and rewarding. That is what keeps me going out here on the road with PERFECT AIM.

Thanks and have a great pool day Geno...............

Dave is a stand up guy. Honest and very knowledgable and always looking to spead good information...not to mention a good player. A perfect choicto review.

In my eyes, $70 is way too much to spend on a aiming video. It would have to be life changing information and I honestly don't think that's possible. Perfect aim doent mean perfectly straight stroke and that's part of the battle. Knowing where to hit and actually hitting it is the challenge. And even that is the 'easy' part. Just my two cents.

seems what he named it is a little confusing

Gene might have picked a poor name for it because many seem to think it is an aiming system. From what I have gathered it is an alignment system, how to align your eyes to be exact. I have a couple of questions for Gene if Spidey's review doesn't answer them but I'll probably get around to buying the DVD. Hopefully being able to tune alignment will make up for a certain lack of practice time lately that only seems to be getting harder to come by.

The value of information is rarely measured by the time it takes to convey it. Many years ago a man told me two sentences that turned around some issues I was having and literally made me thousands of dollars, hard cash I could and did hold in my hand. Had I paid him by the time it took to tell me it would have been almost nothing regardless of his hourly rate. Had I gave him ten percent of what the advice was worth to me I would have paid hundreds for those few seconds worth of advice.

Really? I think $70 is fine. IMO - it was worth the cost... especially when I match up with poeple I was playing even with just a few weeks ago. They will NOT like it.
