Since Then He Has Removed A Lot Of His Comments. Of Course, If Anyone Quoted Him...His Comments Couldn't Be Erased.

I have NO Agreement written or Verbal with him.

This month he has listed the following on Ebay:

I regret selling him my Billiard FingerSlides...But Hindsight is 20/20!

Outright thievery!

hllwnmagic:

Gosh, this is horrible! Out-and-out thievery. Just goes to show that if you have a great idea that you want a li'l something back on, you have to go for an international trademark (if such a thing exists), not just a U.S. trademark.

I like how this guy calls 'em "Finger Wraps 'by' PocketChalker" -- outright highway robbery. Seemingly, "Nyeh-nyeh original inventor, you can't do a damn thing about it!"

Whatever actions you want to take, hllwnmagic, I'm behind ya on this one. It's a shame there's people like this in the world.

well i just gave PocketChalker a little RED rep for being a liar and thief. Perhaps others will follow suit. This is theft plain and simple. It just happens to be hard to enforce since he's not a U.S. citizen.

He is a US Citizen and votes absentee Ballot. His home town Lacey, Washington.

Its things like this that make people snap and hire a guy named crawfish to do some wetwork. That guys got some balls stealing your idea, and selling it right in front of you. He needs to be dealt with, and soon!

Did you or does he use the U S Mail during any of these transactions?

U S Postal Inspection Service.
Yes, He uses the U.S. Postal Service....Can I ask why you mentioned this?

Almost forgot...I've mailed out more than 300 pkgs with the USPS.

sorry to hear of your problems with this person.

Personally, I would never buy anything from someone that can't spellcheck their ad.....

what is "durabiliry"

is that good or bad?

Report the eBay listing as counterfeit/trademark-infringing

PocketChalker is an extortionist, thief, and liar.

I encourage everyone to report his listing as a copyright infringement. The link is below the seller's name on the right side of the page.

Marissa:

As ugotaction correctly noted, this is a great call! Marissa's link utilized, and I encourage others to do the same.

IMHO, Doug's removal of all his post content from the thread that Nancy mentioned in the initial post of this thread is a drop-dead giveaway that he's trying to cover his tracks. (The aforementioned posts are ones that other respondees fortunately quoted where we can see them in all their glory, where Doug makes no bones about the fact that he intends to copy Nancy's product with or without her authorization, because "how can someone expect him to sit idly by while the European/non-US market goes untapped?")

One can say all they want about the pool world "grooming" shady characters ("what did you expect, this is pool afterall" comments aside), but this is an out-and-out trademark infringement. This cannot be tolerated.

If he is committing mail fraud that is the agency which will investigate. It wouldn't hurt to give them a call and run this by an inspector.

Great point -- sending counterfeit products (of any kind) through the USPS is mail fraud.

Nancy, you might want to follow-up on this great idea from alstl. Certainly an inquiry to a postal inspector can't hurt...

Wow...I didn't think she'd come in here and lie some more....here's the post I was going to post about this whole situation...I didn't because I simply didn't want to stir trouble when I wasn't competing with her. I do not sell them to the US...never have but not saying I never will...because she continues to lie...

Here's the post I wrote...and didn't post...

Ok...this will stir up some contraversy but I'm not going to hold a great product back.

As many of you know, Nancy Cote came up with an idea for a 3 fingered un-glove called Finger Slides. They are a High Quality, Well Made item that has grown in popularity although after some research I found that they really needed improving.

Now.....Nancy is going to get 'extremely' excited over this in a not so pleasant way and to be honest, I don't care. I've redone it and it's 100 times better so I'm going to share it with the pool world but first I want to clear some things up...

Dirty Laundry that needs washin':
We haven't spoken in many months about the subject but after I made 200 of her gloves last year and sent her almost a dozen in all different sizes for quality approval, all the while having many pleasant 'phone conversations' about working together, things all of a sudden fell apart. All of a sudden I recieved ugly emails and she stopped taking my calls. Then she wrote some ugly stuff elsewear which I won't get into. We duplicated her glove perfectly for her and she got scared and instead of working 'with' me, she stabbed me in the back. Ya, I'm being a hard ass here, but hell, she wrote to Matt Sherman at About.com and lied to him, telling him I was counterfieting her product 'before' we even had one complete. It took 4 months alone to get the right material. (and I 'still' tried to work with her and sent her samples, dummy me). On the day that Matt was to release a write up about our products, I got an email from Matt asking me what was going on and my product review went out the window. If she tells you any different, she's lying again and I'd tell it to her face. To be honest, I get pissed off thinking about it.

Well, Nancy, If I'm going to be guilty, then I'm going to be guilty.

I attempted to sell the 200 (minus what I sent Nancy). I've have never been able to sell 1 retail, call me crazy but the buyers on eBay.co.uk don't like them apparently. I was lucky(or was I) and sold 24 to one of my retail pocket chalker clients. Somewhere in France I think... I don't remember. And Yes, Nancy even got a paypal on that small sale because at the time I thought I would sell the others. That only sale was 9 months ago. The rest are collecting dust in a box. Along with the 1000 pieces of custom packaging I made. I will sell the lot of them for $200 to anyone who wants them. I should have over 150 of them in various sizes. If someone's interested pm me and I'll count them and get a count of each size.

Yes, Her patent is pending, you can see it right here

http://xrl.in/2x3u.

But, to be honest, it doesn't mean sqat here in Poland because she sold me some several months before her filing date, she won't be able to get the patent here. It's kind of funny, she also lied about her patent being processed, she told me in May of last year it was going to be approved by October last year, she didn't even file it till August and I've read there's up to a 3yr wait on patents such as this. Personally, I don't think it's actually going to be approved. We'll see.

If anyone's interested in a Finger 'Wrap' that will allow you to feel the cue on an open bridge, keep reading.
----------------------------------------------------

After sending them to a professional here in Europe it was suggested that the material be thinner because it hindered the feel of the cue on an open bridge. I agreed.

Now, that being said, I've done some research and Nancy's product is doing very well across eBay in the US and many of you really like them. It's a well made product. Just not very pleasany on an open bridge as some would like.

Upon the suggestion of the professional, whom I won't mention because he may eventually endorse ours, we've come up with a totally new pattern made from different material. Nancy's not the only person in the world who has thought about sweaty palms and worn out finger tips, she just took the tipless glove to the next level. Well, now I've taken it to the next...

Over the last several months I've been working with a professional seemstress on a new pattern with new material of the same concept. These gloves are made of a dbl layer of Lycra type material with no padding. Because there is no foam in it the seams act like a guide for your stroke and you can still feel your cue sliding over your thumb. Plus, they are basically one size fits all unless you have an extremely large hand, in that case we can special make one...just give us a few days.

To test the material and the stretch and whether they will slide off after awhile, I've been wearing one for over 2 weeks day in and day out taking it off only to take a shower, wash my hands or do the dishes. What I found was that they fit snug when you first put them on but they comfortable stretch to the size of your hand and you eventually forget you even have it on.

Plus, they come in a small ziplock baggie that fits very nicely in your case pocket like a thick business card.

They are being played with by some of the best local players here in Poland and the response has been Great.

If anyone is interested in trying out Finger Wraps shoot me a payal. I Currently have 20 made and these first 20 are $10 delivered.

The only ones ever sent stateside were to Nancy...the minute she received them she saw the quality and immediately cut off all communications and sicked her lawyer on me. She talked like we were great friends although yes, no agreement was officially made...but 'all' the talks were going on..

She called and..... Heck, there is so much more to this story....

I even registered the internet domain, picked up the phone and called her and told her about it within minutes after doing it...Told her I wanted to build a website for "US"...I built a 1 page site with info and directions to her site. 2 weeks later when she asked me how many I presold, I explained to here that there were only 7 visits to the site because it wasn't optimized, come on now...2 weeks online and one page isn't going to start selling something.

This when she called Matt Sherman at about.com and told him I was selling her slides. Hell, I hadn't even had one made at that time.

NANCY, You Are just a LIAR>>>I'm SO pissed that you would even come in here and stir shit..I haven't sold one..not one retail as of yet...even though I just put them on eBay in Europe...

Such a no good lying....

....Why can't someone say what they mean and mean what they say?

Didn't this guy do the same thing to the inventor of the pocket chalker?

Ya....I stole the pocket chalker....Tell that to Ken over and Chalkey's by Ken. Tell that to Joe Porper, tell that to Dead Stroke....get real.

And when it came time to do those....screw you if you don't believe me...

I went to Jessie at 911billiards in Tacoma Washington....about 5 minutes from my house in Point Defiance. I'm registered to vote in Lacey...whatever...so what...

Jessie had such a crappy attitude also...She was just really sore because 100 other people had already stolen, copied, improved...whatever word you want to use. They hadn't become popular here Europe and that's what I wanted to do and work with the original inventor in the US. IN Both cases the inventors jumped the gun and screwed themselves.

I tried, she lied. What more can I say...
