german cushions on GC

So then the case is closed! GC rails do NOT NEED any change in bevel for Artemis INTER.

Might there be degree s change in bevel that would make them play better? I seem to remember something about this. Just curious about them as I am going into production on billiard blocks and want to make them correctly.

Or call me 702-927-5689 and I'll explain

Consider the high forum opinion of Diamond tables, Diamond uses Artemis ergo they must be the best cushions (consensus). Nil is said regarding the quality of German engineering and manufacturing but that can be a separate discussion.

Frankly I don't see "everyone" wanting Artemis on their Brunswick or other brand table altho when it does come up it seems to usually involve a Brunswick table. IMO it's a good thing that people have several choices when it comes to replacing cushions.

If you read thru this forum you'll find a lot of "what's the best" threads and since this forum is a good sample of the
billiard community (at least the USA sector) then one could infer that majority opinion has merit.

German engineering is great quality for sure, and Artemis Cushions are great for a 3 cushion Billiard Table.
Diamond has and awesome POOL TABLE, and Diamond cut the sub-rail to fit the Artemis cushion.
All other tables need the sub-rail pitch changed to use Artemis cushions.
The Artemis is faster, and grabs the ball creating more English.I
don't disagree the Brunswick Super Speed Cushion has had it's problems.
BUT, if the cushions are put on by a good mechanic, the Brunswick cushion is a very good choice for a lot
of pool tables, and the best choice for the Brunswick Tables.

I found this from a thread last fall.

So exactly what is the new bevel 22? I have never done it but want to try as I can't help thinking that it should be changed also as the two are not the same. I understand you Glen but if it can be better I think I may want to try it.

thanks for your help and I look forward to specific measurments and even better would be pics of the subrail mod.

Since there should be a consensus would also like other s Like Pat, Donny, Jay and Scruffy to chime in if they have a viewpoint also.

And most importantly the guys here who have it on their tables

I don't know bevel from shmevel, but the Artemis cushions Glen installed on my GCIII play better than the SuperSpeeds that came with the table. They're livelier but not excessively so, and seem to me to bank truer. I'm one happy customer.

If you're going to quote me get it right and separate from other quotes (Mark).

No, you are not here to antagonize other users.

If you are not part of the discussion, then don't interject just for the sake of being annoying.

Thank you.

Mike

I am here to antagonoze you in a big way.....it woould be too easy for me to go away.......so keep em coming DA !!!!!! :D:D:D

Glen will call you tonight at 7 my time as I will be playing pea pool and my customer would like to hear first hand to confirm my thoughts from you....

Since you have probably done more Artemis changeouts than anyone I will go with your opinion. Plus if someone buys a GC that had the bevel changed etc and wanted SS it would be alot more work to go backwards. I think your right about leaving it alone. I thought I might get some good info from the post but it seems even if some guys do change the bevel\rail liner they either don't share or really don't know.

had a speaker ph conversation with Glen and my friend Herby. It was fun and thanks.

This thread is closed per my conversation with Glen. You guys just have no idea of who he was speaking with.

Even better is the video that I made.

Any of you guys in here know Herby Lehman?
