Roy - in the pic, which one is he -right or left? Thanks for the info on this guy.
Impressive resume for Cohen, especially for some guy that most of us never heard of.
There are quite a few great players in Europe, who choose to not play competative pool on a regulary basis, just like in the US.
I had for example not heard about Dennis Hatch before the beginning of this year, and he is probably one of the best American players out there.
There are just too many top players around the world, it's a full-time job to keep updated...
I guess you had never heard of for example Klaus Zobrekis from Germany either, or how about Marco Tschudi who did well on some tournaments in US last month? I would gladly bet on Klaus getting to final 8 in this event, if he would still play tournaments. He quit many years ago, and is now a cloth-producer, selling the Z9 billiard cloth. Klaus has a high run of 357 in 14-1, if I am not mistaken, and I think he is 2 times European Champion.
Now, think of all the unknown players in Asia, especially Philippines and Taiwan.
It's a scary thought, isn't? lol
I am glad that I wasn't blessed with a talent in pool, and instead has a good job and nice income instead of being on the road and tournament trail trying to break even because I had the talent to be one of the best
