Looks like a cheap Chinese cue to me. I will give you $50 fot it!

I don't really have a good guess, besides what others have mentioned already. Good luck and nice cue!

not a toeboy... could be a black but doubt it cue would be signed..motty would be my guess..what ever it is looks super sweet...gl

It is a very nice cue. It has a Schick look to it. I think I know exactly who made it. But I would like to see more guess's.

Thanks Troy! I was gonna guess Schick because my buddy was selling one
similar in style, but after the above post, I know its wrong.:grin:Great looking
cue though.

It is a Scruggs tribute cue!

My buddy that is thinking of retireing made it. He really has picked his game up to another level. It only took 30 years to get that good! If anyone guessed he was going to install a free mori tip!
He would not duplicate the cue unles he could be allowed to change the inlay patterns. This cue was a over 3 year build.

My gut said Scruggs at first as this cue is identical to cue 33 on his website as far as design. But the inlays dont look right to me. I am leaning away from Scruggs. I would say this was made by someone that saw that cue on his site and had another maker build one just like it with tweeked inlay pattern. but I could be wrong.

O.K. Nick, call me stupid, but did Jerry Rauenzahn build that cue,
and is he thinking of retiring? Its just that the joint protector in
that picture sure as hell looks like a -R- to me. I know, I know,
I'm a big'ol simpleton, but if he's looking to retire, I might have
to do something soon.:)

Mr. Jerry -R- is an AWESOME builder, and you will never go wrong with his work. When he does finally decide to call it quits (65+ and counting) we will ALL miss his craftsmanship. Those of you that have not seen his work up close will be VERY satisfied with his creativity and professional attitude. -R- has been working on cues since the mid to early 1970's. Jerry Rauenzahn does work that many only dream about, all by hand, no CNC. He's a true Master.

John Marshall

He stays buisy.

No way he built 20 cues last year. He says people just want so much work in them lately that it was all he could do to build even 20 last year. If that many.
Nick :)

I am the owner of the cue in these pics. It's everything you would expect and more. The shafts are magnificent. One has not been played and the other about 5 hours with tan chalk. The cue is 59" and weighs 19.4 IIRC. The shafts are both 12.75mm and 4 oz with little grain run out. Ivory ferrules. In fact, everything white is ivory. Genuine Monitor Lizard wrap. Talisman medium tips on shock pads. The cue is available for $1500 (what I paid) or best offer. Complete satisfaction guaranteed or your money back. I'm only selling because I need the cash. I waited 3 years for the cue and it was worth the wait...Tom
