Want a fairly inexpensive but solid cue to relearn the game.
Lucasi sneaky pete
IMO, i'd get one of the 80-90$ players cues. I've always liked them.

IMHO a step above K Mart yet still in the low end price range is the PLAYERS Cue. I bought a new Players Sneaky Pete For $ 40.00 to keep in the Car for Bar Box banging and ended up playing with it pretty much full time. BTW I have several cues that I could sell for over $ 500.
PS. Shop around because the same Cue I bought for $ 40 I have seen selling for up to a $ 100. Production made Cues have a big mark up.
i agree. for the money, a players cues are pretty nice.
well i see no one mentioned the cuetec r360. it is a totally new shaft design for them. not the old fiberglass coated stuff. very reasonable prices and more than a beginners cue but a cue that is used by allison fisher and shane van boening. i recommend you try one out before you purchase anything else. after i got one to satisfy my curiosity i liked it so much my predator that i have been using for 10 years is collecting dust !

true true, I always told people just learning to play to go grab a players sneaky pete or a cue-tek earl strickland series for a bill. They can do whatever a beginner needs and then some, but they don't have to spend all the dollars. Hell you never know 6months down the road they might not even want to try to learn anymore and paid 600 for a meucci they cant sell for half that. When you get a little bit of speed under you step up to a better cue, learn to play better with a cheaper more economical cue and then when you progress go reward yourself with a better piece of equipment. But the RAT cues, dufferins etc are all pretty descent cues, even the keisers and J&J are all great priced and well suited for the wallet and a novice.
