Who are the top female players in Los Angeles?

Melissa Herdon
Stacy Novack
Darlene Stinson
Robin Dodson

Used to play Robin everyday in Westminster Ca. when I was around 17. I had a pretty good record with her in 9 ball but she beat me in the finals of a straight pool tournament in front of my parents. Winner got to play Cowboy Jimmy Moore. She didn't win that match but she sure had talent back then and became a great champion....

Yeah, she's an icon, I get it, but is she even competing anymore? I wanna know what girls are strong right now and where they play...

What's your name? I have a feeling you are looking to be mentioned. Who do you think are the best players?

My name is of no significance, I am not a player, I am an event coordinator who's looking for talented female players...not necessarily pros, but the hot up-and-coming women who are the next rank of pros coming out of the Los Angeles area.

Besides the ones already mentioned, I know there were some talented players when I played in their tour some years back. I came in second against Cassie Anderson (I am pretty sure that was her last name) and I believe Stephanie Nakagawa Boch played on their tour too.

Jane Fujinaga, Hydred Makabali and Jenny Lee played pretty well too.

Melissa Herndon nd Melissa Morris are members here - you could try a private message to them to get it started. I imagine they personally know most of the up and coming female players. The ones I know have already been mentioned.

The above statement is how T.V. or other media outlets find people in our sport to exploit. Not on my watch!

Perhaps you should make yourself known publicly...

Sounds like b.s. to me. Most of the top ladies here are friends, so I would think they deserve to know for what reason they are being mentioned....

Melissa Herndon is the most public in LA (e.g. Top WPBA Pro, and WPBA Board Member).

"Exploit"...you can't be serious! "Not on your watch"...I didn't realize you were the pool police? It's called exposure! And believe me female pool players deserve it and can use it. There is an entire world of amazing female players out there who don't get the recognition they deserve...money players, league players who can't afford to be on the women's tour, or who can't do any or all of the traveling to stay in the game.
I'm sure I could contact either of the Melissa's and ask them, but like I said, I am not interested in the pros...I am interested in the hard working, overlooked, under-appreciated strong female players.
