3 troyroy...u talk to eric so does this even need to be in this category? seem nice on the phone then go on az and bash me. make up your mind. i promised a deadline then eric said u changed your mind and it needs to be done asap. i dont mind finishing your case so just email me and let me know. also please post all the emails that you sent to me and i sent u instead of eric if your going to bash me. ps eric didnt dig me out of any 4k hole fyi. he has spent some money on some leathers that he liked and some interiors, some minor odds and ends, etc.....so lets just get that straight. i dont know where that came from your going to have to take that up with him since u talk so much. but as far as im concerned i just cant have a different answer every time i talk to him. if he did not relay to you that im working on it then im sorry, im not a full time case maker and its not worth it to me to produce something that i cant take pics for a website, thats the whole point of doing the case at cost. i dont have skype and im not ducking you either. i just cant answer the phone when im working sometimes. just like everyone else.

lp. talked to him today...nice guy no problems here. infact felt bad about me losing money on his case..wants another one when im done with this az bs.

i still have not recieved any emails or phone calls since this thread went downhill which goes to show the naysayers that its not as bad as u think. im not ducking anyone and noone has lost any money but me. so maybe i should be the one on here crying about it. and maybe hangem will apologize or threaten me and we can to a tar match in the parking lot somewhere one day. everyone is free to sidebet. it would be pretty cool actually. he has nothing to do with this and knows nothing of what is going on so please read all the posts in this thread and contact the people who are who he calls irrate and ask everyone what is going on if you are concerned. igonrance is not bliss. i would also like to point out the fact that i told him that this is a waste of time and my time could be spent doing other things aka making cases. so he replies why dont u spend your time making cases......what a brain. also he tells me that i need to talk to people when he doesnt know that everyone has been in contact except mtd and from our previous converstations he knows that im not ducking him and i think he knows that im going to make him something great. please disregard his ignorance like i will from now on and come to me at chazdillon@aol.com or give me a call, if u dont leave a message then obviously i dont want to call back a number that i dont know. it always ends up with someones wife answering the phone and i have to explain myself and ask if their husband plays pool. its a pain.

This sucks brother, but I dont think you ever meant for this to happen....Just keep on building them, and everyone will eventually be happy. I do hope you the best and I hated to see this crap happen to you..Hang in there..I do hope the best for you.

I believe in you..so I would like a case from you...3x6..but dont even begin to start mine till everyone has thiers...
 
thanks.....its only a few cases if anyone will pay attention to that fact then this wouldnt even be an issue.

its just hard to keep people informed thru az. u see that i made an effort to post pics when i could so im not going to stop working on cases because of this i would just like people from left field to read everything before posting or just ask whats going on first.....isnt that the movie down periscope where they talk about when people assume.

your in it how do u upload a file larger than 16mb. if u dont reply then i will reduce the file down to better pics instead of everything. aol will only let me attatch 100 files and i have alot more on my memory card of my camera if u can tell me how to send all of them without aols 16mb bs.

You can add me to the list of people who have ordered a case from Chaz. I am lucky enough to now live in the Orlando area, about 15 minutes from Chaz. I have been to his shop several times and really like the cases that he is building. I told him that I am not selling my It's George until he has mine finished, so I will not be stressed out if it does not come on time. I would rather wait and get what I asked for then to put pressure on him and it not be what I wanted. I am in no hurry for my case, just so I have it by the Derby City Classic so I can show it off. There is something special about getting a one of a kind case, so I will be patient and even more excited when it is completed. I am not taking sides in this issue, just giving you my opinion. Tom
 
Correction**
16mb is AOL's cap PER EMAIL. Fit whatever you can per email~ If you're shooting from a High Resolution camera, then that might be 2 pictures per email. lower resolutions will allow 4-5 per email.
A few snaps of each person's case will cool many fires.

Chaz,

First off, it is good to see you are once again talking to the AZ community. I think that is very important and really needs to continue. You are giving very mixed signal out to potential buyers though. You went for a couple of months without replying to anyone on here, then you came back shortly after you got interiors in, and now you are saying again in this post that you do not wish to deal with problems through AZ.

I can understand notifying people to email or call you is quicker, but you need to use AZ contact methods as well, and respect the AZ community. Calling us retards and such will not help future business on here. After all, AZ is where you first advertised the cases you are making now.

Wow. Chaz called me over lunch to tell me the thread had blown up, but I had no idea. :eek:

I have never been a fan of doing business publicly, "trial by internet" and this is clearly a case of that. :deadhorse:

here's what I KNOW about Chaz:

  • Chaz bit off more than he could chew in # of orders and charged WAY too little for them. That much is well documented. By the time he paid for the tools to build the cases, he's paying for the materials and shipping on this first wave out of his pocket. Lesson learned. I have tried to help with that when able.:banghead:

  • Chaz has hit some snags, machines breaking, job getting in the way, people changing their design mid-stream, and some folks just taking advantage of him. Life happens.

  • Right now, he's working all night for pigeon feed, and trying to work on your cases during the day. He's tired, overworked and trying to get this first wave out the door so he can take some new orders and some day see a profit.

  • Chaz IS doing gorgeous work, it's just a matter of delivering the rest of the cases he has on order with a shoe string budget.


As for me, my involvement and my end of things:

  • I have "invested" a few bucks here and there to try and get things rolling, and helped with materials when I could. I am part of America's great "under-employed" so there ain't a whole lot of disposable income right now. (cold showers suck BTW inside joke:o).

  • I came on board to try and help organize things, but with our limited budget, I have become more of a customer service department. I am backing out of this position because I obviously cannot effect production, and I don't want to put Chaz in a spot (again) :slap: by promising delivery times he can't meet.

  • I have taken ZERO dollars from anyone. Although to be technically accurate, I have been scammed out of a few hundred by an AZ'er:speechless:.

  • I have ALWAYS been available by email, and have emailed many my phone #. Anyone who says I have not gotten back to them needs to check their facts:nono:.

Oh yeah, and for the record, I was "on order" before anyone on this board, and no, I still don't have a case. Every time we start talking about a case for me, I step out of the way and let one of you in front. Before this latest shipment of interiors, when we were buying one at a time and they were getting scarce, I donated "MY" interior, that I bought specifically for MY case, to one of your projects. In fact I did this.... TWICE.

Currently I carry a Sterling 2x4 soft case (nice product BTW John!!):ok:.

Anyway... That's the way it is. I thank most of you for your patience and for behaving in an adult manner through a frustrating time of growth and exploration.

I hope you all hang in there long enough to get your cases, and I hope Chaz lets most of this roll off his back and continues to forge ahead.

6. I haven't said anything about you dodging me AS FAR AS CONTACT GOES. If there's any dodging, it's about the actual completion and delivery of my case.

7. I'm not irate yet. If I was irate, Mr. Wilson would probably ban me for multiple counts of intricate, creative, streams of verbal swear words as well as the use of ALL CAPs. I'm just a customer who BELIEVES he's being marionetted.

This is why it took someone like me to goad chaz into taking responsibility here. People are sick of reading posts about no contact, no pictures, broken promises on deadlines,etc.

Chaz, you come on here asking for business, but don't want to conduct any business here after you reel someone in, that doesn't work.

All of AZ will be watching to see if you conduct yourself in a manner that is respectful to your customers here. There will be no more raffles that go 6 months unfulfilled, no more excuses, hopefully you will show some progress and your customers can post good things instead of disappointment after disappointment.

You say I have no dog in the hunt, accuse me of not knowing what is going on, and want to bet or fight. All this is fine, I got thick skin, and you got off your ass.
 
I have a case on order with Chaz and have spoke with him a few times about my case and he has helped me on many occasions with cases I was building, he has learned a lot and is very willing to help out others. He is not going to screw anyone, he is an honest person. Chaz has returned my calls and emails very quickly. He never gave me a time frame and I never asked for one. He has a lot of orders and they will all be filled, it takes a lot of work for each case and the extra custom options take up even more time. Posting angry replys is not going to do any good just give him a call, find out were your case is and make a decision wait for a custom case that you will never get at this price or ask for a refund.
 
it's not that i'm pissed about the time frame that has elapsed so far, but how custom can a case be if i don't even know what the color is? i got a picture message about a month in of a brown dye and i said it wasn't the color i was looking for, so he said he'd try a different dye and get back with me. i've requested every single time that we have spoke to send me a pic of my case in progress, and to date have recieved none. when this project began all you had was a picture of a single case and your word, but the value of your word is fading on the forums because there hasn't been much to back it up.

when you give someone a delivery date and there is a snag..... it is your responsibility to notify the customer. i don't care if there are a hundred more delays, so long as you just call and tell me whats going on. not tell me it's going to ship in 2 weeks and 2 weeks later i have to call you to ask.

i am not pissed over this ordeal, just dissappointed

I COULD GIVE 2 SH*TS IF IT TAKES ME A YEAR TO GET THE CASE, BUT IF YOU TELL ME YOU ARE GOING TO SEND A PICTURE, SEND THE DAMN PICTURE.

and i understand your statement about how a lot of people wouldn't even know what they are looking at anyway, but after 6 months progress on each of our cases should be far enough along that we could get a general idea of what they were going to look like. so please....PLEASE.... just put up a few pics of the cases to put both your current customers, and future customers minds at ease. this is what customer service is about. keep us informed and you keep us happy. as i said before... you have my contact information and so does everyone else now. so please contact me and put some of my questions to rest.
 
I see that there are some pissed off people still asking for their cases. I really hope that your issues are resolved soon.

Laser engraving????? I believe I am the elephant case here no????? I will say my case is hopefully going to be amazing. Im not sure if we are still going with elepahnt I might go to black leather but its up to Chaz.

I have paid and am waiting with respect. Take your time chaz. Make it GOOD.

Why not give him a call? Maybe he is easier to get a hold of by cell phone?

I have to laugh.People are going to think he is going to rush things. Now they want him to take his time.Isn't that what he was doing in the first place?From reading this whole thread the onlything that he should of done is tell people the cases would take a year to do,so if there done in 8 months he looks like a king!
